The Vale storybook The expansion pass launched last week, bringing a ton of new content to the popular arcade game. Disney Dreamlight Valley. The expansion pass is being released in two parts, with “Part Two” scheduled for release in summer 2025. Developer Gameloft’s decision to release The Vale storybook in two parts offers the opportunity to receive double the amount of content and gameplay compared to the expansion pass simply released in one installment. Ultimately, this leads to more enhanced and extensive gameplay, with exciting new content yet to arrive.
The amount of new content that The Vale storybook introduced is impressively generous and includes the arrival of beloved Disney characters like Merida from the Pixar film Brave and Flynn Rider from Tangled. The expansion pass also opened up a selection of new quests for players to enjoy, new creatures to collect, and three beautiful new biomes with lots of areas to unlock. New collectibles like fish, jewelry, and recipes are also exciting. However, One of the expansion pass’s most accessible new features is the variety of foraged crafting materialswith 12 to collect in total.

Broken weapon
The Broken Weapon is a collectable crafting material that has the appearance of an ancient broken Roman sword and shield. This item can be found in all areas of the ancient Greek and Roman-inspired Mythopia biome.. The four areas of Mythopia are the Elysian Fields, the Statue’s Shadow, the Burning Plains, and Mount Olympus.
Upon unlocking Mythopia with Story Magic, players will have immediate access to the biome’s first area, The Elysian Fields, where they can find the Broken Weapon material by digging. The Broken Sword can be used in new crafting recipes, including Lilo’s Bunk Bed, Royal Candy Doors, Medieval Wooden Chair, and more, and as a material, it can be sold for 25 Star Coins.

Common club rush
Taking on the appearance of long, grassy green stems topped with a golden flower, Common Club Rush is a common crafting material in The Vale storybook. Players will be able to find this collectable material on the ground in all four areas of the Everafter biome, which can be unlocked with Story Magic.
The first area of the biome, The Wild Woods, can be unlocked for 2,000 Story Magic, while the others cost a little more; Teapot Falls costs 5,000, The Fallen Fortress costs 5,000, and The Beanstalk Marshes costs 10,000 Story Magic to unlock. Common Club Rush is used in new crafting recipes, including the Orange Bind CouchPotted Blooming Tree and more, and can be sold as materials for 15 Star Coins.

Fairy Bubbles
The fanciest of new forageable crafting materials in The Vale storybook It’s fairy bubbleswhich can be found in all four areas of the Everafter biome – The Wild Woods, Teapot Falls, The Fallen Fortress, and The Beanstalk Marshes. Fairy Bubbles are an enchanting forage material that can be found by digging in the ground of any of these areas in Everafter. They can be used in several new crafting recipes, including a Transport Table and a Great Tome Banner, and can be sold at any of Goofy’s stalls for 15 Star Coins.

Gravel
The simple but effective gravel crafting material can be found by digging in any of the four areas of the Mythopia biome – The Elysian Fields, The Burning Plains, The Statue’s Shadow, and Mount Olympus. Gravel has the appearance of a pile of old rubble and can be used in a variety of The Vale storybookNew crafting recipes including a dump truck armchair, a Greek workout bench and a Greek mosaic rug. Gravel as a material can earn the player 20 Star Coins when sold in its original state at any of Goofy’s stalls.

Marble
It is surprising that Marble was not a craft material available in Disney Dreamlight Valley until nowthen its addition to The Vale storybook is welcome. Marble can be found by mining rocks in the Mythopia biome and can be found in the Elysian Fields first access area.
By using Story Magic to unlock the three remaining areas of Mythopia, The Fiery Plains, The Statue’s Shadow, and Mount Olympus, players will be able to access and mine more Marble to craft. Marble can be sold for 20 Star Coins and can be used in several new crafting recipes, including Basic Olympic Shard Repellent and Basic Olympic Lure Trap.

Moss
When a player upgrades their shovel with the Shovel Potion that Merida gives them during the introductory mission at the beginning of The Vale storybook expansion pass, they will be able to use it on Mossy Logs that are scattered The Vale storybookmain biome, The Bind, to collect Moss. Additionally, Moss can be collected from the ground in the Everafter biome in all four areas. Moss can be used in new crafting recipes such as Red Novel Tennis Table, Green Bind L Couch, The Bind Fountain, and more, and can be sold in its original form for 70 Star Coins.

Mud
Mud is a versatile new crafting material that is now available in Disney Dreamlight Valley thanks to The Vale storybook expansion pack. The material is available in The Bind, as well as all four areas of the Everafter biome, and can be collected by simply digging into the ground in any of these locations. Mud, in its original, raw form, can be sold at any of Goofy’s stalls for 10 Star Coins, or can be used in new crafting recipes, including a Giant Leaf Chair and an Autumnal Fence.

Petrified Wood
Petrified Wood is one of the first crafting materials a player will find in The Vale storybook. Petrified wood can be collected by mining rocks and nodes in The Bind biome, as well as in the Library Of Lore and all four areas of the Everafter biome.
Petrified wood is one of the most common materials in the expansion passand can be used to create a Green Bind sofa, a Halloween town clock, an archery target, and more. In its original form, Petrified Wood can be sold for 20 Star Coins.

Pine cone
Pine cones are one of the most common and easiest to find foraged craft materials in The Vale storybook expansion passage. Players can find countless pine cones scattered across the ground, but only in one biome in the expansion pass: The Bind.
Pine cones tend to respawn in The Bind biome quite oftenso a hunt for them should never take long. Pinecones can be sold for 80 Star Coins and can be used to create a variety of new craftable items, such as an Orange Bind L Sofa, a basic Fall Leaf Bait Trap, and more.

Posidonia
Posidonia is a new water-based crafting material that can be obtained similarly to Red Algae in Disney Dreamlight Valley. When fishing in open water anywhere in the Elysian Fields, Burning Plains, Statue’s Shadow, or Mount Olympus in the Mythopia biome, players will have the opportunity to fish and collect this aquatic plant, which can be sold for 20 Star Coins . at any of Goofy’s stalls. Posidonia can be used in a number of new crafting recipes, including Lilo’s BunkThe Bind Source and much more.

Sea Monster Tooth
One of the most valuable forage items a player can collect in The Vale storybook The expansion pass is Sea Monster Tootha rare and unique crafting material that can be sold at any of Goofy’s stalls for a whopping 550 Star Coins. Sea Monster Tooth can be obtained in all four areas of the Everafter biome and can be collected by fishing in blue or white pools. The item can be used in a selection of new crafting recipes from the expansion pass, including the Halloween Town Clock and Theban Fountain.

Volcanic Rock
The last of the foraged crafting materials that are available for players to collect in The Vale storybook is Volcanic Rock, which can be found when a player digs into the ground in any of the areas in the Everafter and Mythopia biomes. Once a player has obtained the Volcanic Stone, they can choose to sell it at any of Goofy’s stalls for 30 Star Coins, or they can use the mud in a selection of all-new crafting recipes, such as Fountain of ThebesDump truck armchair and much more.
