Throughout the MCU timeline, only a select few characters have been able to lift or wield Mjolnir, and still others have been introduced to the MCU who have historically been able to wield it in the comics. Black Widow lifted Mjolnir in the comics

Black Widow never got the chance to wield Mjolnir in the MCU, but in the comics she managed to prove herself worthy. Although she is the least powerful character in the franchise worthy of Mjolnir, she has been shown harnessing Thor’s power in alternate realities in the comics. Assessing Black Widow’s MCU characterization highlights many of the characteristics that seem to qualify a character as worthy of the power of Mjolnir.
One of the prerequisites is altruism, which Black Widow clearly demonstrates on several occasions, especially when she chooses to sacrifice herself to stop Thanos. Another is her determination and leadership skills, which, again, she displays throughout her MCU history. There are many examples of behavior that suggest The MCU’s Black Widow is more than worthy of Mjolnir just as she is in the comics, despite being less powerful than many of her other users.

Steve Rogers used Mjolnir during the Battle of Earth

There are many scenes that define Captain America’s history in the MCU, but few are as iconic as the moment he wields Mjolnir during the Battle of Earth in Avengers: Endgame. Steve Rogers’ entire character arc revolved around him discovering the true meaning of being a hero and a leader, with him finally proving himself worthy of Mjolnir in his final battle with the Avengers. This is reflected in the comics, where Captain America has lifted Thor’s hammer on many occasions.
In terms of MCU characters to lift Mjolnir, Captain America is actually one of the least powerful in his own right. He is enhanced by the super soldier serum to reach peak human condition, but is not technically superhuman in any specific way. Although he began his MCU story as Thor’s enemy, Loki’s arc within the franchise has seen him undergo enormous personal growth and change. Instead of the ruthlessly ambitious and selfish villain he once was, Loki gradually becomes more of an antihero. When the time comes Loki Come the end of season 2, he is a full-fledged hero, sacrificing himself and his freedom for the greater good of reality. It is for this reason that he is almost certainly capable of lifting Mjolnir.
Loki also has a history of being able to lift Thor’s hammer in the comics. On several occasions he has been shown handling his adoptive brother’s weapon, no doubt aided by his own godlike status and supernatural physiology. The MCU’s Loki is also much more of a hero, making it entirely possible that he could lift Mjolnir on merit alone after his heroic sacrifice.

Moon Knight is one of the most unlikely wielders of Mjolnir

As a relatively new introduction to the MCU, Moon Knight isn’t the most obvious hero capable of wielding Thor’s hammer. In fact, Moon Knight only appeared for the first time after Mjolnir was destroyed. However, in the comics, Moon Knight has proven himself worthy of lifting Mjolnir, even using it against Thor on one occasion. While he may not be the most powerful character in the MCU, he has a deceptively wide range of abilities.
As Khonshu’s avatar, Moon Knight’s powers are wide-ranging and also vary depending on which of his alters are in control of his body. When he received the power of the Egyptian god, Moon Knight is essentially invulnerable and capable of many impressive feats of strength and agility. As such, he stands above several other MCU characters who are also capable of lifting Mjolnir.

Jane Foster proved herself worthy of the power of Mjolnir

Jane Foster made her triumphant return to the MCU as part of Thor: Love and Thundercast, finally taking on the mantle of the Mighty Thor. After its introduction in 2011 Thor As the titular hero’s love interest, fans clamored for her to be given the opportunity to embrace her heroic potential. Love and thunder finally answered, and she was shown wielding Mjolnir in battle long after it had been destroyed by Hela.
Mjolnir deemed Jane Foster worthy enough to reform, with the fragments coming back together so that she was bestowed with the power of Thor. While the MCU hasn’t explored the extent of her power, even compared to Thor himself, it’s clear that she possesses all of the same abilities while wielding Mjolnir. As such, she is one of the most powerful humans to wield Mjolnir in the MCU.

Vision’s ability to lift Mjolnir caused debate

First introduced in Avengers: Age of UltronVision serves as a prominent and powerful member of the Avengers in the last part of the MCU’s Infinity Saga. Powered by the Mind Stone, Vision’s vibranium body makes him remarkably durable and strong, and he is able to become intangible, fire energy beams from his head, and fly. He is also one of the few Avengers to lift Mjolnir in the MCU.
Vision is able to gain the Avengers’ trust by casually lifting Mjolnir. He is later shown wielding it in battle against Ultron’s forces, marking him as an especially powerful hero. Vision’s versatile mix of abilities combined with the power imbued by the Mind Stone makes him powerful. enough alone, but combined with his ability to lift Mjolnir – however controversial it may have been among the Avengers – he is an incredibly formidable hero.

Storm has yet to make her MCU debut
The trailer for And if…? season 3 revealed a number of details about the third installment of the animated series, including Storm’s MCU debut alongside members of the Avengers. The trailer also showed Storm wielding Mjolnir, seemingly confirming that she will lift Thor’s hammer in the animated series. This is in line with several stories from the comics, where Storm has established herself as one of the Marvel heroes truly worthy of the powerful weapon.
Storm’s power level in the MCU may not have been established before her debut, but the character is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe. Her ability to control weather systems qualifies her as an Omega-level mutant and has earned her godlike status among her native tribe. Hela was able to hold Mjolnir with ease

Hela made her MCU debut in Thor: Ragnarokand immediately established how powerful she was compared to the franchise’s heroes. After Odin’s death, Hela managed to free herself from prison and made her plan to conquer Asgard clear. When attacked by Thor, she stopped Mjolnir mid-attack, holding the weapon briefly before destroying it with ease. It is later revealed through a hidden mural in Asgard that Mjolnir once belonged to Hela and that she wielded it alongside Odin.
All over Ragnarokit is clear that Hela is individually more powerful than Thor. In truth, she is stronger than Thor, Loki, Hulk and Valkyrie combinedas she is able to resist the attacks and still gain an advantage over the God of Thunder. It’s only thanks to Surtur and the destruction of Asgard that Hela is defeated, making her stronger than Thor in the power rankings of Mjolnir’s wielders.

As king of Asgard, Odin wields enormous power. It’s established that he gained his rule through conquest, and the All-Father wields his power on a few occasions throughout his MCU history. He has been shown handling Mjolnir on a few occasions, but the context of Thor’s use of the hammer establishes that Odin is more than worthy of it. In fact, it was he who bestowed the dignity enchantment upon him, placing a specific prerequisite for anyone seeking to use its power.
Odin’s power set is broad and includes enhanced speed, strength, and longevity even greater than most Asgardians. However, it is his ability to access the Odinforce that is most powerful, as it allows him to manipulate the magical energies of the universe. As such, Odin is by far the most powerful character to have lifted Mjolnir in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
