Futurama season 12 codified the animated series’ multiverse, seemingly confirming that dozens of timelines introduced in the series previously exist in a shared multiverse. The season 12 finale, “Otherwise”, introduced the Ship Graveyard to Futuramacosmology, a rift in space-time where people could move between realities. During configuration FuturamaDespite the potential future status quo, the series has quietly confirmed that many of the bizarre alternate dimensions and timelines introduced in previous seasons appear to co-exist in this multiverse.
Some alternative worlds, like Leela’s Wizard of OzThe dreams inspired by Season 4’s “Anthology of Interest II” are parodies of the universe that could later be revealed to be their own separate timelines. It is also possible that FuturamaThe new rules of the multiverse mean that doomed endings like the one featured in Season 12’s “Attack of the Clothes” are actually entirely separate timelines. THE Futurama The multiverse could easily continue to expand, but here are all the worlds that have so far been seemingly confirmed to exist alongside the primary one. Futurama timeline.

Futurama (Universe A)
Introduced in the first season of “Space Pilot 3000”
The primary configuration of Futurama“Universe A” serves as the baseline for all other Futurama timelines. In this universe (which was dubbed “Universe A” during a multiversal adventure in season 5’s “The Farsnworth Parabox”), the alien Nibbler ensured that Fry was frozen on the eve of the 21st century. Awakened in the 31st century, Fry was able to complete the time cycle necessary for his birth thanks to advanced technology from the future.
In this timeline, Fry got a job at Planet Express and befriended Leela, Bender, Zoidberg, Hermes, Amy, and his distant ancestor, Professor Farnsworth. Fry’s role as an unexpected “chosen one” resulted in him saving the universe multiple times, even when a duplicate of himself ended up in the 21st century during the events of Season 6’s “Bender’s Big Score.” In this universe, the immature Fry became a good man, leading a fuller life, in part due to his love for Leela.

Giant Bender Universe
Introduced in Season 2’s “Anthology Of Interest I”
The “Bender Is Giant” universe was the first subject explored by Professor Farnsworth’s What-If machine. In this universe, Bender belonged to an entirely separate race of robotscommitted to the destruction of humanity. To this end, they built a skyscraper-sized Bender to wage war against humanity.
After the first season, almost every season of Futurama included a non-canon anthology episode like “Anthology Of Interest I,” which laid the groundwork for a more expansive multiverse.
Upon arriving on Earth, Bender proved to be nearly unstoppable. He even killed important military figures like Zapp and Kif with ease. However, Bender’s friendship with Fry inadvertently gave humanity time to transform Dr. Zoidberg into an equally enormous monster. resulting in a fight that killed Bender and saved humanity.
32
Assassin Leela Universe
Introduced in Season 2’s “Anthology Of Interest I”
The second segment of “Anthology of Interest I”, Leela’s curiosity about a world where she was more driven by impulse revealed that she could have easily become a serial killer. Only Fry survives, with the pair beginning a romance years before Universe A.

Fried Time Paradox Universe
Introduced in Season 2’s “Anthology Of Interest I”
An initial clue about Fry’s importance in the universal composition of Futuramathe third segment of “Anthology of Interest I” revealed a world where Nibbler was not present to ensure Fry’s travel to the future. Because it prevented him from embarking on the time travel that would guarantee his own birththe fundamental construction of this timeline has been undone. When Fry refused to be frozen under any circumstances and went so far as to destroy the freezing capsule, Fry shattered the timeline and condemned the universe to endless oblivion.

Cowboy’s Parallel Universe
Introduced in Season 3’s “I Dated A Robot”
The first parallel universe confirmed in Futuramathe multiverseThe “Cowboy” universe was introduced as a throwaway joke in Season 3. The timeline is established as one of the tourist locations Fry wants to visit. Existing on the edge of the universe, the “Cowboy Universe” is only seen once every Futuramaand apparently exists as a Western theme parallel to the main timeline. Given the American Southwest vibes that Mars has always received Futuramathis suggests that the timeline was driven more by the culture of Mars than that of Earth.

Bender becomes human universe

Although Bender’s sloppy ways ended up getting him killedthey won over the universal scientific community and earned Professor Farnsworth the respect of his peers.
28
Fry’s video game universe
Introduced in Season 4’s “Anthology Of Interest II”
In the second segment of “Anthology of Interest II”, Fry’s new universe imagined a timeline where arcade classics like Mario, Pac-Man and Space Invaders were real. The reality was similar to Universe A. 27
Futurama (Universe 1)
Introduced in Season 5’s “The Farnsworth Parabox”
Serving as the main setting in “The Farnsworth Parabox”, Universe 1 is a fundamentally similar reality to Universe A. However, the timeline diverges when it comes to coin flips. As a result, the timeline is quite similar in general terms, seemingly existing with nearly identical character relationships and fates.
However, certain decisions were changed as a result of this random adjustment. Some of these changes were small, like Bender being gold instead of gray or the Professor embarking on a dangerous experiment to mess with his own brain. Others caused bigger changes, like Fry and Leela starting a romance years before reaching that point in Universe A.
26
The Farnsworth Parabox Universes
Introduced in Season 5’s “The Farnsworth Parabox”
The crossover between Universe 1 and Universe A in “The Farnsworth Parabox” was caused by both versions of Farnsworth simultaneously creating a machine that could shape entire realities. This may even be the true point of origin for Futuramacurrent branched multiverse. The episode’s ending reveal saw Universe A Farnsworth switch boxes with his Universe 1 counterpart, ensuring that further multiverse jumps wouldn’t come easily.
The episode introduced several timelines in quick succession, including worlds where the influences of Roman and Irish cultures became definitive. Other timelines included ones where the main cast were all robots, born without eyes, overtaken by an endless winter, or populated only by women. The last of these timelines was the one where Farsnworth was a hippie and a less prolific inventor and was nicknamed Universe 420.
25
Yivo Universe
Introduced in Season 6 of “The Beast With A Billion Backs”
Established as a parallel dimension outside of Universe A in Season 6 of “The Beast With A Billion Backs,” the Yivo dimension is home to the massive creature of the same name. Initially seen as an invasive species in Universe A, Yivo’s attempts to relate to all life in the universe were eventually acceptedleading all species in the universe (except robots) to arrive in Yivo’s reality. However, Bender’s refusal to give up Fry results in Yivo forcing Universe A’s numerous species back into their own reality.
24
Cornwood
Introduced in Season 6’s “Bender’s Game”
A false reality created by Bender’s imagination and dark matter crystals in season 6’s “Bender’s Game”. Cornwood serves as a parody of fantasy epics such as Lord of the Rings. In this universe, Bender is a famous knight and Professor Farnsworth is a powerful wizard, both aligned against a variant of FuturamaThe classic villain, Mom.
The only characters with memories of the original world are Fry and Leela.who transform into a Gollum-like figure and a centaur, respectively. In this world, Fry’s actions spark a major conflict that reveals that Farnsworth was secretly the father of his mother’s son, Igner. This timeline finally collapses when Mom gains control of the Die of Power.
23
A world without Fry, Bender and Prof. Farnsworth
Introduced in season 7’s “The Late Philip J. Fry”
A highlight of the Comedy Central era of Futurama “The Late Philip J. Fry” largely follows Fry, Bender and Prof. Farnsworth as they travel through the time stream in the Professor’s time machine. However, the rest of the Planet Express crew spends the rest of their lives believing that the three were killed during an explosion at Hedonism Bot’s bachelor party. In this world, Leela takes control of Planet Express and turns it into a universal success (firing Zoidberg in the process). However, Leela never gets over the loss of Fry, even briefly marrying Cubert before discovering the truth about his disappearance.
22
Christmas Massacre
Introduced in Season 7 of “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular”
“The Futurama Holiday Spectacular” imagined three different alternate timelines, each centered on a different holiday. Notably, none of them ended well for his version of the Planet Express Crew. In “X-Mas Massacre,” the Planet Express crew works to undo the ecological damage that has been done to the world over the countless centuries of human existence. Although they replenish the number of pine trees across the planet, this overloads the atmosphere with oxygen which is inadvertently ignited by Bender, destroying all life.
21
Robanuca
Introduced in Season 7 of “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular”
The second short in “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular” centers on “Robanukah,” a robot-themed holiday that Bender invented to get out of work. Desperate to keep watching two fem-bots fight for six whole weeks, Bender ends up leading the crew on a mission that kills everyone but him.. Millions of years later, a still-living Bender uses the oil created from his long-petrified remains to make a new supply of oil. It’s a grim timeline, as the remnants of humanity no longer exist on the now-dead Earth for a long time.
20
Kwanza Space
Introduced in Season 7 of “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular”
The final segment of “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular” focuses on Espaço Kwanza, a holiday celebrated by Hermes and his family. With no option to get the right candles to celebrate, Hermes leads the crew on a mission to the space hives where Fry and Leela almost died in Season 5’s “The Sting.” Despite their best efforts, the crew are unable to escape the bees and end up trapped in the wax, apparently left to burn to death in the space bees’ own version of the Kwanza celebration.
19
The British Universe
Introduced in Season 7’s “All the Presidents’ Heads”
In the standard Universe A timeline, a distant ancestor of Fry and Professor Farnsworth played a small but vital role in the American Revolution. When the crew traveled back in time to that era in “All the Presidents’ Heads,” Fry’s accidental intervention in the timeline resulted in a universe where Britain never lost control of the American colonies. As a result, culture remained much more rooted in English standardswith the Farnsworths recognized as royalty. This timeline was apparently scrapped after the crew corrected the error and repaired the timeline.
18
Colorama
Introduced in Season 8’s “Reincarnation”
The “Reincarnation” genre introduced three radical new variants of Futurama universe, uniting them all through a shared element of a diamond comet. “Colorama” is a timeline where existence is more in line with the “rubber hose” animation style made popular by early cartoons starring characters like Mickey Mouse. In this timeline, Fry’s efforts to impress Leela lead him to destroy the comet to make a wedding ring for her. However, despite her romantic intentions, this ends up covering the world in diamond dust and seemingly killing all of humanity.
17
Future Challenge 3000
Introduced in Season 8’s “Reincarnation”
Similar to Fry’s video game world in “Anthology of Interest II,” the world of “Future Challenge 3000” is a timeline where existence functions more like a video game. However, whereas Fry’s video game world was one in which game characters coexisted, “Future Challenge 3000” is an entire world defined by that style. In this timeline, the destruction of a similar diamond comet allowed Professor Farnsworth to construct a lens capable of breaking the fundamental laws of the universe. Although this receives praise from Farnsworth, also makes most scientific exploration moot.
16
Action Delivery Force
Introduced in Season 8’s “Reincarnation”
Modeled after the animation style and characters seen in anime such as Mobile SuitGundam, speed runner, and Robotics“Action Delivery Force” is a timeline where Futurama it is more rooted in the design styles of Japanese animation. While many of the show’s dynamics are still present in this timeline, there are some new wrinkles. Notably, this includes the existence of Leela’s brother (who eventually turned evil) and Cubert’s apparent death due to Zoidberg.
15
The Naturama Universes
Introduced in Season 9’s “Naturama”
The “Naturuama” Universe served as the focus at the end of the 9th season. The timeline created new versions of the main characters of Futurama and used them as different types of animals. In the episode’s three segments, versions of the main cast who are reimagined as birds, fish and seals are the focus of the stories. Due to the harsh aspects of the natural world, many of the featured characters are killed during the episode, only to reappear in the following episode as a new animal.
