Hyun Ju stands his ground and calls out other players who voted to stop the games. The confrontation quickly escalates and an all-out battle ensues between those who voted to continue the games and the others who opted against it. When Dae Ho and Hyun Ju don't return with ammunition, Kyung Seok and players 324 and 145 realize they are fighting a losing battle. They soon run out of bullets as guards surround them. Player 324 decides to take his destiny into his own hands and uses his last bullet to shoot himself. Player 145 tries to surrender and stands in front of the guards with his arms raised. However, they don't think twice about killing him on the spot.

Unlike most of the other players, who are drowning in debt when they arrive at the games, Kyung Seok only shows up to earn enough money for his daughter's cancer treatment. Because his intentions have always been in the right place, he remains one of the most morally righteous characters in the entire series and also helps many characters survive the Mingle game.
