Every Immersive Card in Pokémon TCG Pocket (So Far)

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has a series of engaging cards that allow players to experience card art in a whole new way. Pokémon TCG Pocket is a digital version of the popular collectible card game, played and collected by millions of fans around the world. The app version allows fans to experience opening boosters, collecting cards, and even battling other players, all in the all-digital space of a mobile device.

Digitizing the game also gave Pokémon TCG Pocket a chance to delve into the cards in a way that has never been done before. The application takes advantage of the virtual nature of cards by expanding card art beyond physical space. This resulted in the stunning immersive cards of Pokémon TCGP.

What are immersive cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Beautiful interactive Pokémon TCG cards

BG Pokémon TCGP 2-1

All cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket can be interacted with on some level. Cards can be turned around or moved around to examine them from different angles. Several of the rarer ex and holographic cards even have art that literally pops out of the card in a three-dimensional fashion.

Immersive cards are a totally different experience from the rest of the cards. Immersive cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket are interactive cards that contain entire scenes. Long-pressing the card moves to the art and takes players through dynamic static illustrations, literally moving the viewer through the art contained within. The movement of the card art can be stopped and started by tapping it.

Immersive cards are full illustration variations of existing cards. There is no difference between the immersive card and its alternate form except for the art that appears on it. Immersive cards can be recognized by Distinctive black circular frame depicting the cards’ artwork.

The illustrations on the Charizard ex and Pikachu ex cards show a large number of different Pokémon gathered in one frame. On the Pikachu card, the characters are relaxing in a calm forest, while the Charizard scene shows a dynamic and exciting depiction of several Pokémon in the midst of battle over a body of water.

Mewtwo’s former letter portrays a very different atmosphere. The card shows Mewtwo exiting a building through a window, then moves inside to reveal a dark, lifeless laboratory and a large, broken testing chamber. The scene remains on the broken glass of the tube, and for a brief moment, Mew can be seen in the shard of glass in the upper right corner. The image then goes back to Mewtwo and his determined expression.

The Mew card in Pokémon TCGP is the most difficult to acquire, as it requires players to collect all 150 Pokémon from the Kanto region. The card is bright and colorful and uses a very different and more illustrative art style than the rest of the surrounding cards. Together, these four beautiful cards constitute the only engaging cards that can currently be found in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.
