The film follows a young woman named Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) living in a dystopian future in which she has been exiled to the desert. Although wandering under the scorching sun is quite dangerous, she encounters packs of cannibals and other deadly threats in her search.

The film embraces its wild tone while featuring some fun, freewheeling performances from a star-studded cast that also includes Jason Momoa, Jim Carrey, and Keanu Reeves. As director, Ana Lily Amirpour creates some stunning visual moments and sequences. However, as a writer, she overextends the story, creating a film that is unfortunately dull around the exciting moments.

When the new boss (Vanessa Williams) suggests a promotion for Anna, she insinuates that adjusting her hairstyle might allow her to rise through the ranks faster, but its new plot seems to have a sinister sensibility.

With supernatural and folk elements explored through Bad hairFrom witches and their mythology, Simien's film is another curiously scary Neon production. The absurd anthropomorphized monster, which was possibly inspired by Peter Strickland's equally bizarre 2018 film In fabriche does Bad hair an effective horror satire with a socio-political backdrop where the politics of black hair become the root of the film's terror.

She Dies Tomorrow (2020)

He lives inside is one such film that follows Sam (Megan Suri), an Indian-American teenager who is struggling with her cultural identity. When she reconnects with a friend she grew apart from, Sam accidentally releases a dark supernatural entity that her friend was keeping under control.

The film is an impressive debut from writer-director Bishal Dutta, who shows an incredible talent for staging intense and terrifying thriller scenes. The film also explores Hindu folklore in an interesting way, and while it feels too close to other teen horror films to be considered a wholly original film, these aspects allow it to stand out in the genre with its own commentary.

Long Legs (2024)

Neon's latest horror contribution, Long legs follow the FBI Agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), who is thrown into the dark world of an unsolved serial killer case. In his fourth directorial credit, Perkins draws unmistakable influence from horror films about serial killer investigations, such as Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, and even Zodiac. Nicolas Cage's unnerving horror film makes great use of sound and empty space, deftly negotiating the implications of danger.

The first two-thirds of the film are genuinely moving, drawing audiences in with an engaging narrative and eerie atmosphere. Unfortunately, Long legs stumbles in its final act, with a twist that disrupts the film's momentum and leaves a somewhat underwhelming conclusion. Despite this, the film stands out for its mise en scène. The cinematography, with lower angles and wide shots, brilliantly heightens the sense of imminent threat, making it a solid addition to Neon's horror library.

Immaculate (2024)

Directed by Michael Mohan

Sydney Sweeney has starred in several horror films in her young career, but Immaculate stands out as the best of the group. Sweeney stars in the film as Sister Cecilia, a young nun who seizes the opportunity to work at a convent in Italy. While the beautiful scenery instantly surprises her, she finds that she receives special attention from others at the convent and soon discovers something sinister at hand.

The film mixes elements from other excellent horror films of the past, such as The omen and Rosemary's Babywhile also having his own interesting ideas. Director Michael Mohan hasn't had much success adapting the concept to the screen, with the narrative sometimes feeling confusing and confusing. Infinity pool is an excellently crafted science fiction journey that offers a scathing critique of the bourgeoisie. The story follows author James Foster (Alexander Skarsgård), who struggles with writer's block and searches for inspiration while on vacation. His partner, Em (Cleopatra Coleman), tries to support him despite it having been six years since his last publication

Their mundane resort stay takes a dark turn when they meet Gabi (Mia Goth) and her partner Alban (Jalil Lespert). Gabi, a fan of James' work, seduces him into breaking the resort's strict rules by venturing outside of its grounds, ultimately discovering the world as they know it.
