Every Harmony Character in Honkai: Star Rail, Ranked

Honkai: Star Trail has now added his 10th Harmony unit, Sunday, but where does he rank on this talented list? Star Trail continues to be the gold standard of gacha games. Learning from mistakes Genshin, Star Trail is without a doubt the best HoYoverse game, if not the best game in the gacha genre. The game continues to innovate and evolve as 3.0 will add the Remembrance Path focused on characters who summon servants.

The Path of Harmony is full of characters meant to buff others, usually the team's DPS. Almost every character has had their time in the sun or has a team that they fit into incredibly well. Every time a 5-star Harmony unit is released, it is a must-have character, regardless of the player's status as free-to-play or willing to spend.

Hanya is the runt of the litter

4 star physicist

Hanya is, unfortunately, the worst of this gifted Path. Hanya was one of the first hybrid characters that debuffs enemies to increase team damage and also helps generate skill points. Her ultimate is useful for giving a 20% increase in speed and a 60% increase in attack, but that alone isn't worth putting her on teams.

Hanya's other big problem, besides the kit, is the lack of use in teams. Although it can be used with a large number of DPS units, other Harmony units adapt better to your location. This doesn't just apply to the 5-star units, but also to the other 4-star Harmony units it has to compete with. This leaves Hanya in a position where she is the last resort, even for those with limited characters.

Asta got better, but there are other options

Fire 4 stars

Asta from Honkai Star Rail is sitting next to a giant telescope. She gently looks towards the viewer.

Asta is one of the original Harmony units that eventually fell, only to be revitalized with the emergence of the Break teams. Her kit is relatively simplegenerating stacks of attack buffs while his ultimate provides a speed boost. However, she is a clumsy character to use without Eidolons, as her stacks deplete quickly and therefore remove the attack buff.

These limitations have been the biggest reason why it is often overlooked. The other downside is your better options. Ruan Mei and Trailblazer are better options for Break teamswhile someone like Guinaifen might work better with DOT. Overall, Asta is a character that many, if not all, players will use at first, but she quickly falls flat.

Yukong is on the rise

4 stars imaginary

Yukong was originally one of the niche support units, but quickly became one of the best free-to-play options. His kit is simple but extremely powerful. His ability provides a two-turn attack buff, while his ultimate provides a considerable increase in critical rate and damage.

Its recent rise is largely due to characters like Feixiao and Yunlithat rely heavily on critical statistics. While the 5-star Harmony units are still better than Yukong, it doesn't face the significant drop that other 4-star units face. This makes her perfect for budget teams or for players who have 5-star Harmony characters but want to use them elsewhere.

7

Tingyun is versatile and strong

Lightning 4 stars

Tingyun was one of the strongest Harmony units when she was freed, and only fell due to the immense strength of the 5-Stars. His ability gives allies an attack buff for three turns, while also allowing Tingyun to deal some damage. Yet it is your last, which deals bonus damage for two turns and restores 50 energy to the targetit gives her a place. Mainly because, if built correctly, it is perfectly possible to recover it in two or three turns.

Tingyun works best on Hypercarry teams, which, fortunately, are the most used. This makes it incredibly valuable for any account and a good replacement if needed. The only drawback Tingyun has is the lack of action advances or critical boosts.

6

Bronya fell, but it's a good base

5 star wind

Bronya from Honkai Star Rail gives a speech in Belobog. There are Silver Mane guards standing behind her with their spears in their hands.

Bronya was the first 5-Star Harmony unit, and one that most players can get at some point. His ability was the first to have an action advancementwhich caused the target to receive their turn immediately, along with a 66% increase in damage. This is combined with her (originally powerful) ultimate, which gives the entire team an attack boost and critical damage boost based on Bronya's stats.

She is a huge boon for new players and plays a big role in hypercarry DPS, while also having some uses for double DPS teams. The only real downside to Bronya is how newer characters have been released with better scaling buffs. But regardless, Bronya gave players their first taste of what to expect from this powerful Path.

Harmony Trailblazer was one of one

From 2.3 to the final stages of 2.7, Harmony Trailblazer, or TB, was the main support for Break Teams. All of this was due to its endingwhich gives all units on the team Super Break damage when hitting enemies with broken weaknesses. This buff lasts for three turns and, with a proper build, can be easily upgraded when active.

The reason why Harmony TB fell from its place is the release of Tingyun Fugue in Honkai: Star Trail. This powerful Fire Nihility unit brings everything Harmony TB does to Break Teams, but has Super Break damage as part of his passive talent. This makes it much easier to consistently deal this superior damage and frees the Pathfinder to use another Path.

4

Sparkle has unfulfilled potential

Quantico 5 stars

Honkai Star Rail's Sparkle extends her hand as a red effect forms around her.

Sparkle is the Harmony unit that suffered the most from the recent meta change. Her entire kit focuses on damage boosts and huge critical damage buffs, all intertwined around her ability to give two bonus skill points maximum and upgrade four when she uses her ultimate. She has an action advance, but at only 50%, it needs to be built to a speed close to 160 for it to be a consistent immediate action.

With the meta shifting to Break teams and likely Summon teams in 3.0, Sparkle has been left behind. It could be useful, as other Harmony characters are getting summon advancement mechanics like Sunday, but it won't be a huge increase. Another complicated aspect of your situation is that his two main DPS combos are clunky. Dan Heng IL is no longer a top tier option. Although Acheron still is, Sparkle is only better with Acheron when she has her second Eidolon, which reduces how many Nihility characters are needed for maximum final damage.

3

Robin is the queen of follow teams

5 star physicist

Robin has been a strong unit since coming out and although he is quite versatile, she is best with follow attack teams (FUA). This is largely due to his talent, which increases each ally's critical damage by 20% and gives Robin two energy for each allied attack. This energy regeneration is crucial given that his ultimate, which gives a huge attack boost and immediate action to all teammates, comes at a heavy cost. Robin's kit ends with his team-wide ability that increases all allies' damage by 50%.

All of this makes Robin the main Harmony unit for FUA teams, which have always been relatively popular. The current top options are Dr. Ratio, as he was given for free and is genuinely strong, and Feixiao, who might be the best DPS in the game. Robin can be distributed to other teams if necessary but is stronger when used with FUA teams.

2

Sunday is on the horizon

5 stars imaginary

The Sunday of the Honkai Star Rail reaches the heavens and is restrained by thorns.
Custom image by Bruno Yonezawa

Just like her sister, Sunday and her best builds are one of Harmony's top options. Although he was just released, he is more than worthy of this claim. Her ability is an action dash similar to Bronya's, and while the damage boost is smaller, it also applies to summoning a teammate at 50%. This is combined with your talentgiving the target of the skill 20% increased critical rate. Sunday's kit culminates with his powerful ultimate, which grants massive critical damage buffs, along with 20% maximum energy to the target.

Sunday will be the best for Remembrance/summon teams, already showing their prowess with Jing Yuan. However, this is not its only limitation. Although her critical damage boost isn't as high as Sparkle's, its critical rate and energy regen make it great for other units. The only unit he isn't the best choice for, or close to being the best, is Acheron.

1

The versatile Ruan Mei

5 star ice

Ruan Mei of Honkai Star Rail raises her hand.
Custom image by Bruno Yonezawa

Ruan Mei is Harmony's best unit for everything she brings to the table. Although she has no advanced action or critical buffs, Its damage buff, weakness breaking efficiency boost, speed boost, and resistance penetration of all types are too much to ignore. This also accompanies the second part of his ultimate, which will further delay the enemy's turn when their weakness is broken.

All of this combines to make Ruan Mei the best option for Break teams, and equally good in all other formats. Specific teams may have another unit that would work a little better, but having Ruan Mei in his place would be a small demotion, if any. This incredible flexibility is what makes it the best Harmony unit to have on the market. Honkai: Star Trail.

Overall, Harmony is a Path that should be strong whenever a new character is released. That has been the case since Ruan Mei, and Sunday equalized it. It will be interesting to see how this might change, as 3.1 is expected to add another Harmony character, but this is how the current rating represents each Harmony unit in Honaki: Star Trail.
