The Genshin Impact 5.1 character banners have allegedly leaked, giving players more insight into what they can expect in terms of new playable units as well as rerun opportunities. Currently, the action RPG by developer HoYoverse is in the beginning of version 5.0 and players still have a chance to draw for Mualani, a new hydro DPS from Natlan, as well as Kachina, a 4-star geo sub-DPS that has increased cap . Rates of banners in phase 1. Phase 2 of the update has yet to happen, but it will introduce Kinich, a new Natlan character in Genshin Impact 5.0.
The developer has officially announced one new playable unit for the upcoming patch, known as Xilonen. So far, HoYoverse has only confirmed that she is a Geo character and her name was mentioned in the first Archon Quests added with version 5.0. It is expected that she will play an important role in the next few story missions and will also be playable with the arrival of the patch. Xilonen is likely the only new character in version 5.1, and recent leaks about the flag structure and the reruns for the Genshin Impact Update indicates that may be the case.
One new character has been confirmed for Genshin Impact 5.1
Three rerun characters have been leaked for the next update
Apparently, the version 5.1 flag structure is leaked. According to information given by the leaker known as Hakushin, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable“On Reddit, The four 5-star characters featured in the update are Xilonen, Chiori, Nahida and Hu Tao. If these are characters that will be featured in the character banners, their respective signature 5-star weapons should also appear in the weapons banner during the time they are featured. The leak does not mention the six 4-star characters with increased drop rates over Phase 1 and Phase 2 character banners in Genshin Impact 5.1.

Xilonen could debut alongside a Chiori rerun
Based on the structure of Hakushin’s leak, it seems like Xilonen and Chiori will be the featured 5-star characters in Phase 1 Banners of version 5.1 – meaning it should be a bountiful time for players who are still geo characters. Xilonen is a new 5-star geo camera, although little is officially known about it. However, Xilonen’s leaks in Genshin Impact 5.1 Indicate that it will be a support unit and a debuffer against enemies. The leaks mention that Xilonen’s Elemental Skill will be able to apply Resistance Fragment against opponentsMeaning they will be more vulnerable to damage.

The leaks say that Xilonen can remove 36% of an enemy’s RES and that this effect comes through special field drops, allegedly called source samples. Her supportive abilities also include the creation of shields for her party since she is a geo unit that can trigger crystallize reactions. Leaks about the kit from Xilonen, which was shared on RedditAlso highlight that She can work as a geo healer. Through her elemental burst, Xilonen allegedly deals AoE Geo DMG to opponents, and based on how many source samples she has on the field, extra effects are triggered in Genshin Impact.
According to the leak, Xilonen will heal nearby active characters if she has at least two source samples that experienced elemental conversion. If less than two source samples undergo elemental conversion, she will deal extra AoE Geo DMG. Both Xilonen’s DMG and healing are rumored to balance off her DEF statUnique. If this is true, players shouldn’t need to worry about building her around two stats, but instead focus on a single stat, which can also improve her performance on the field. When it comes to mobility, Xilonen reportedly uses rollerblades to move in her Nightsoul’s blessed state in Genshin Impact.
On the other hand, Chiori is a Geo sub-DPS. This character has a reliable source of off-field damage through her Tamoto summonAlthough, unlike many other geo challenges, this is not a construct and, therefore, cannot be destroyed. For geo teams led by characters like Arataki Itto or Navia, Chiori is a superb addition, especially since she can significantly help with the crystallize reactions. Chiori is built in Genshin ImpactUnfortunately, she scales off two stats, but she can still hold her own in battle and is worth the investment if players want to increase their elemental shard creation.
Through her skills, Chiori also has a useful mobility skill that allows players to quickly teleport a short distance forward.

Nahida & Hu Tao are rumored to rerun in the second half of the update
Hakushin’s leak seems to indicate that Nahida and Hu Tao will be the featured 5-star rerun characters in version 5.1’s phase 2 banners. Nahida is, arguably, the best Dendro character in the game so far. The Dendro Archon of Sumeru excels at everything she is designed to do. Initially, she’s a great off-field sub-DPS capable of maintaining Dendro application – and a quick Elemental Skill cooldown that allows you to continuously apply it once it’s over. Additionally, her skills mark and link nearby opponents, dealing extra damage when more elemental reactions are triggered Genshin Impact.
Additionally, Nahida works as a supporting character for Dendro’s reactions. Alternatively, Hu Tao is one of the best pyro DPS units in the game. The classic Leyue character is known for sacrificing a portion of her own HP to increase her damage output and infusing her attacks with Pyro DMG. Hu Tao is somewhat shadowcrept by other Pyro DPS releasessuch as Lini and Arlechino in Genshin ImpactBut she’s still a great elemental type character to have, especially if players don’t have access to the aforementioned characters.

As is the case with any piece of leaked information, the rumored details about the character banner structure in version 5.1 should be taken with a grain of salt. The order of characters and even the characters themselves may be changed before the update is officially announced. The only one that players can really rely on is Xilonen, who has been announced for the upcoming patch, although it is still unconfirmed in which of the two flag phases of Genshin Impact 5.1 It will appear.
