Once again, the streaming giant found success with The Umbrella Academyseries based on the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, but with that show already concluded, they are once again looking for another super show.

Along the way, Netflix has ordered a number of smaller comic book adaptations, including Jupiter's Legacy, I'm not okay with thisand Dead Boys Detectivesbut all of these shows were canceled after just one season for not achieving the goals Netflix had hoped for. Supacell Season 1, Episode 1 has a lot of ground to cover. In just one episode, the series introduces the five main heroes and establishes the story that will help increase the tension and drama throughout the first season. And you need to do all this in less than an hour. Despite the challenge, the episode spends the first half briefly checking in on each character, their struggles, and their lives, and then the last half gets straight into the action.

This is the perfect way to set up the season because the main characters are central to the story, but if the audience has no idea who they are, it's more challenging to make them care about these individuals. However, as the episode is named after Michael, he spends most of the time in this character, played by Tosin Cole. A humble delivery man from south London with a sick mother and a beautiful girlfriend he's just gotten engaged to.

The episode also briefly introduces each character's powers, which again sets up an incredibly intriguing series of events. The episode did a great job, but it comes in last place because it spends more time laying foundations than moving the story forward. However, it was an emotional episode and one that likely enticed many audiences to keep watching to see what happens next, especially after such an intense cliffhanger with Michael jumping into a dark future.

Sabrina is one of the most powerful characters in the series, but as mentioned above, her telekinetic gifts seem frightening and difficult to control. The episode takes big steps towards the Season 1 finale, with Michael's girlfriend Dionne discovering some important secrets, and Sabrina's sister Sharleen being kidnapped by the Organization. The end of the episode also shows Tazer joining the others, which leaves the team almost complete.

This episode, like episode 1, has a lot of important groundwork to be laid, as it moves towards the inevitable end, and the date of Dionne's death gets closer and closer. However, with the heroes finally taking control, gaining greater control over their gifts, and the final confrontation set to provide plenty of answers as to what's going on and who's behind it all, this episode sets up as a very powerful event. ride in the series.

Meanwhile, Andre's situation grows more dire as he struggles to find ways to make money and make his son proud.

However, in the process of trying to provide and put his powers into practice, he ends up pushing his son into more dangerous situations. The tension of the episode is a big component of what keeps audiences coming back to the series for more, and this episode brings together some of the previous points to create a satisfying ending to the series. Supacell progress to this point.

At the same time, the conflict between Tazer and the Six grows more heated, Kraze becomes a more prominent character, and the Organization continues to lurk behind the scenes.
