Infinity Stones are by far some of the most powerful items in the world. Marvel Universe. They have the ability to rewrite reality and grant the user almost unlimited power. As such, there have been many attempts to hide these stones due to how dangerous they are, but they are always found again. The stones have been scattered throughout the universe and are in the hands of Earth’s mightiest heroes, but no matter where they are, someone always finds them.
THE The Infinity Stones were originally part of the first being in existencewhich is known as Nemesis. After his death, the stones were scattered throughout the universe and eventually found by the universe’s elders. Most of the elders were unaware of the true purpose or power of the Infinity Stones, and it was Thanos who first attempted to gather them. Avengers Annual #7 by Jim Starlin and Josef Rubinstein.
Despite his defeat, Thanos returned stronger than ever, and in Infinity Gauntlet #1 by Jim Starlin and George Pérez, Thanos tried to gather the stones back together in his Infinity Gauntlet. He managed to exterminate half of the universe’s population, but was eventually defeated by the remaining heroes. After that, it was Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch who decided to take possession of the stones.

After Thanos attempted to gather the Infinity Stones twice, it became clear that they were too dangerous to be left alone. Because of this, Adam Warlock formed the Infinity Watch to try and keep the stones safe, but of course that mission didn’t last long either. Although Adam Warlock had noble intentions, he ended up losing his mind due to his evil Magus personality taking over. Magus tried to use the Infinity Stones for his own nefarious purposes before being defeated. Afterwards, the stones were stolen again by the vampire Rune and also used by Galactus.
Seeing that Infinity Watch was simply unable to keep the Infinity Stones safe, Earth’s heroes created a new secret society known as the Illuminati, which was made up of some of the most influential, intelligent and powerful people on the planet, including the likes of Reed Richards, Namor, T’Challa, Charles Xavier, Tony Stark and several others. Considering how powerful and influential these characters were, they decided it was best for each of them to wield an Infinity Stone to make sure it was safe — but then again, that plan wasn’t foolproof.
Marvel’s Illuminati Group Couldn’t Even Hold the Infinity Stones

Despite his best attempts to keep the gems for himself, the Infinity Stones still end up being stolen by a thief known as Hood. It wasn’t easy and required a lot of effort, but the Hood almost gained unlimited power by stealing the Infinity Stones. Fortunately for everyone, the Avengers discovered what was going on and were able to corner the Hood and stop him from using the stones before anything got out of control. With how many times the Infinity Stones have been stolen or discovered, it seemed almost impossible to keep them safe, which Adam Warlock seemed to agree with.
After the stones were stolen again by Gamorra, Adam Warlock decided enough was enough. Using your powers, Warlock granted the stones true sentiencemerging them with other people. This new plan allowed the stones to finally have true free will. They were no longer just objects to be taken and used; now they had real goals and could choose what their powers would be used for. This new sentience ended up preventing them from being collected and used by people for nefarious purposes once again.

The Infinity Stones are incredibly powerful and it seems that this power will always attract the attention of people with bad intentions. No matter how the stones were hidden or where they were placed, someone was always able to locate them. Even though the Infinity Stones are real people now with their own lives and goals, it’s likely that someone will try once again to capture them and use them for its own purposes. No matter what happens or how much people do to hide them, the Infinity Stones will always be a major threat in the world. Marvel Universe.
