Even without mods, Baldur’s Gate 3’s party can get a lot bigger than you think

Baldur’s Gate 3 contains several summoning spells and abilities, expanding the basic group of four characters with new allies and entities. He is a mechanic transported from Dungeons and Dragonsalthough in this case, players don’t have to worry about annoying their DMs by filling the map with little creatures. Like a video game, BG3 can account for far more summons than people can comfortably keep up with in a tabletop RPG, and this is evident in the number of creatures players can have in their party.

Exactly how big a party can get, however, is not immediately clear. Players have been experimenting with summon builds since the game’s release, and many have amassed impressive armies of followers. The game does not have a specific limit on how high the number of characters in a group can reach, which leaves the question open: Using all the tools and spells the game offers, what is the largest number of creatures players can have as members of their party?

BG3 Summons Make a Big Difference

Changing the balance of the game

Although keeping track of so many creatures can be difficult and hinder combat, it is a pretty foolproof strategy for achieving victory. In both D&D and Baldur’s Gate 3the economy of action is crucial to victory; in other words, the side that gets the most laps has a huge advantage. Even if a group is full of creatures with low health and damage, eventually, sheer numbers can emerge victorious.

There are some basic calls to work, including the find family

spell, spiritual weaponand flaming sphere

as well as the various spells to summon undead and elementals. But there is a specific combination of class features that allows players to maximize party size. It involves having four spore druids of at least level seven in the party, They each also have at least three cleric levels and one wizard level. This will give each party member access to all the tools needed for this build.

Using nothing more than casting spells, the Baldur’s Gate 3 the party can have up to 48 members, with each party member having a familiar, a spirit weapon, a flaming sphere, two mephits, a myrmidon, a zombie, a mummy, a dryad/wood pastel pair, and a deva or cambion. Then there’s the spore druid’s fungal infestation ability, which lets you summon four fungal zombies each. This brings the total to 56 party members, and still doesn’t include all of the game’s exclusive summons.

Baldur’s Gate 3 includes Shovel the quasit, Connor the zombie, the shadow lantern ghost, five spider babies, four Danse Macabre ghouls, Us the intellect devourer, and Boo the hamster that can only be summoned by Minsc. With all of this combined and including the four party members themselves, players in Baldur’s Gate 3 you can have an army of 70 creatures to take with you into combat. Granted, doing so will likely cause the game to crash, but for a few brief moments, a Baldur’s Gate 3 party could have an army to rival that of the Absolute.
