Castlevania is still worth your time
The Anniversary Collection is the best way to play them
The gothic horror of Castlevania games is ingrained in the industry as some of the most popular platform games of the 1980s and 1990s. By today’s standards, they are simple tasks that challenge players to get from one end of a level to the other while defeating enemies with a variety of weapons. such as whips, daggers, axes and holy water. Known for their difficulty in punishing, the Anniversary Collection makes few changes to games beyond simply optimizing them for modern hardware.
Although older titles like the original Castlevania and its sequel might be hard to enjoy these days, they’re still a lot of fun. Players who appreciate the preservation of culture and history will see the value of Anniversary Collection mainly because of how interesting it can be to witness the growth of the franchise over the course of several episodes. Since this is a free giveaway, Epic Games Store users have no excuse not to check it out.
Castlevania is a fantastic series
If only Konami knew this
I love the old school Castlevania games then I’m excited that so many younger players can have the opportunity to try them out thanks to Epic Games. The hopeful part of me wants to believe that, with enough enthusiasm, Konami will greenlight a new main entry in the series, but I also know that this is incredibly unlikely. Still, with the success of Silent Hill 2 remake, perhaps the publisher realizes that players still crave their most beloved franchises.
