The iconic sling ring gate scene from Avengers: Endgame has been edited to include Deadpool & Wolverines”Like a prayer“, and it’s enough to bring a tear to any MCU fan’s eye. Deadpool & Wolverine’s The final scenes delivered an emotional punch as it depicted the titular anti-heroes joining hands to sacrifice themselves for the survival of the entire multiverse to the tune of a choir singing “Like a prayer.” Although their sacrifice would be undone moments later through their joint efforts and healing factors, it was a tear-jerking moment that rivals some of the MCU’s most emotional scenes.
x user @_DPDI decided to merge the sequence with the MCU’s Battle of Earth, assigning the original score for the chorus cover of “Like a prayer.” The post depicts the scene in which the Avengers are joined through a series of sling ring portals by almost every surviving MCU hero to fight Thanos and his army. The edit certainly adds a different kind of emotional heft to a moment that’s both tear-jerking and celebratory in equal measure, though it’s safe to say that Avengers: Endgame Score and Madonna’s Deadpool & Wolverine Inputs are better kept separate.

Why “Like a Prayer” Works Better for Deadpool and Wolverine than Avengers: Endgame
These movies strike very different tones
The chorus version of Madonna’s “Like a prayer” has become a popular feature of Deadpool & Wolverine To overlay on other emotional MCU scenes. It is not too difficult to see why, as it is specifically intended to bring deep emotions in a climactic moment – which is no doubt helped by the fact that the song is one of Madonna’s most esteemed. It is, however, a pop song at its heart, which is exactly what it works as a part of Deadpool & Wolverines pop-laden soundtrack, and not in a tonally distinct movie like Avengers: Endgame.
Although the MCU is famous for injecting the vast majority of its productions – even those that carry the most emotional weight – the irreverence of Deadpool’s franchise is in a league of its own. Deadpool & Wolverine even feature “Like a prayer“As his flagship song, the appearance of the chorus version in its final sequence is a reprise of the standard version used moments earlier in Deadpool and Wolverine’s struggle with the Deadpool Corps. The reprise is therefore dramatic but still tongue-in-cheek. .
While Avengers: Endgame Affords brief moments of levity to the MCU’s funniest heroes, it’s still a much more serious movie than Deadpool & Wolverine. This is why it’s not hard to see Deadpool fitting into a wider MCU narrative in upcoming MCU movies like Avengers: Secret WarsAlthough it is unlikely that he will bring the catchy soundtracks of his own movies with him. Meanwhile, the chorus cover of “Like a prayer” is best confined to the incredible final scene of Deadpool & Wolverine.
