Marvel Studios originally included Iron Man’s Soulworld scene after his death at the end of Avengers: EndgameAnd fans are once again debating whether it should have stayed or not. Iron Man’s death at the end of Avengers: Endgame is one of the most important events in the entire timeline of the MCU, because it marked the end of an era for the Avengers and brought half of all life in the universe back after Thanos’ snap. After performing his own snap, Tony Stark barely had a chance to say goodbye to his loved ones before he died.
On XUser James of Doom Shares a thread of MCU deleted scenes, including a Avengers: Endgame Scene where Tony Stark is brought to the Soul Stone’s Soulworld right after he performs the snap that defeats Thanos and his army. During his brief visit to Soulworld, Tony meets an adult version of his daughter Morgan, and they share a heartwarming moment before Tony transcends. The post has picked up momentum XHow MCU fans provide their arguments for or against the scene. Check out the post below:
X User DM Disagree with the way the deleted Avengers: Endgame Scene is written. Instead of a touching conversation between Tony and Morgan, DM Play a short scene where Tony cries when he sees Morgan, and the only words he says are “I love you 3000” Before the scene ends. This version of the Soulworld scene could have been a more effective way of reuniting Tony and Morgan, and it would have called for their most memorable moment together.
User StonedWookie90 Disagree with Morgan’s presence in Soulworld. Instead of Tony Stark’s daughter, Tony’s mentor Ho Jensen could have been the person Tony Stark met in Soulworld. After all, the person Soulworld presents doesn’t necessarily have to be related to the person who took the snap, and Ho Jensen played an essential role in Tony Stark’s life, sacrificing himself to set Tony on the path to heroism in Iron Man. After his death in Iron ManJensen just turned around Iron Man 3s opening flashback.
User Wins Believes the deleted Avengers: Endgame Scene serves little purpose. While Tony and Morgan’s reunion is inherently a moving moment, it doesn’t seem natural in Soulworld. Unfortunately, this means that Katherine Langford’s only MCU scene has to be cut. Perhaps Langford will have another chance to appear as a grown-up Morgan in future MCU installments such as Iron heart And Avengers: Doomsday.
Why Iron Man’s Soulworld scene is so divisive
Fans argue whether Iron Man’s afterlife should have been explored or not
Tony Stark’s sacrifice was widely praised for not fitting into Iron Man’s MCU character arc. However, the addition of an extra scene with Stark transcending into Soulworld was controversial. On one hand, Iron Man could have a final heartwarming moment where he is able to say goodbye to Morgan the same way Thanos got the chance to see a young Gamora after performing the original snap. on the other hand, A final scene with Tony Stark after his death could easily detract from the emotional impact of his sacrifice.

Avengers: EndgameThe deleted scene with Tony and Morgan reuniting in Soulworld was criticized for its slow pacing and unremarkable dialogue, as well as for the fact that Morgan Stark’s mature appearance could be confusing at first. Since Robert Downey Jr. And Katherine Langford never shared a scene before or after Tony and Morgan’s scrapped Soulworld reunion, their interaction as father and daughter can seem forced and awkward. While Gamora was the most logical option for Thanos’ Soulworld vision, characters like Pepper Potts, Ho Yinsen and Steve Rogers could also be compelling characters for Iron Man’s.
Our take on Iron Man’s Lost Soulworld scene from the endgame
Iron Man’s Avengers: Endgame Death is perfect as it is
The absence of any afterlife sequence after Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame Allowing viewers to understand the scale of his sacrifice and the grief of his loved ones in real time. As it is in Avengers: Endgames final cut, the focus of this scene remains on the finality of Tony Stark’s heroic choice and the immediate grief that follows. It’s the simplicity of Tony Stark’s death, compared to his increasingly grandiose adventures, that makes it so impressive. Meanwhile, Morgan Stark’s grief can be explored in other MCU projects.
