What This Means for Emily in Paris Season 5

Could there be a new love triangle?

Season 5 will pick up right where Season 4 left off, with Emily heading to Rome alongside Marcello as she struggles with her lingering feelings for Gabriel. At the end of Emily in Paris In season 4, Gabriel realizes he wants to be with Emily after a frustrating history that separates them, despite finally having the opportunity to be together. However, Emily has already fallen in love with Italian fashion heir Marcello Muratori and has moved into an apartment in Rome to oversee the local office of his marketing agency, Agence Grateau. Emily will now spend Season 5 navigating her new life between Rome and Paris.

Although the love triangle between her, Camille and Gabriel appears to be over after the events of last season, the confirmed return of Bravo’s Season 5 could signal a new love triangle for Emily, now with Gabriel and Marcello. With Gabriel’s restaurant being one of the new season’s main settings, audiences are hoping for the return of the beloved chef, who viewers and Bravo itself felt had lost his charm and shine in Season 4, with the actor telling IndieWire that Gabriel was”slowly turning into guacamole.”

With the series maintaining its Parisian roots and incorporating Gabriel’s restaurant as a key setting, there seems to be room to explore his personal growth and rekindle his charm.

While there is no official release date for Season 5 yet, production on Season 4 began in January 2024 and wrapped in May, with the first part premiering in August and the second part in September. Filming for Season 5 is scheduled to begin in May 2025, which implies that if production follows a similar five-month schedule, the show could wrap filming around October 2025. This means the new season could premiere in early 2026.
