Fanning found peace with the series' ending

With 2023 bringing Elle Fanning's acclaimed historical drama The Great to a surprising conclusion with the cancellation, the star asks if she knew the show's fate in advance and if she thinks it got the ending it deserved. Our thoughts on the final perspective of Fanning's The Great

The series is unlikely to return

Although the survival of opponent Archie (Adam Godley), several other tales of persistent characters, and the last part of Catherine's reign until 1796 may leave many stories unresolved for The Great for inspiration, audiences probably shouldn't expect a surprising comeback anytime soon. More than a year has passed since the show's fate was sealed, many of its cast and crew have moved on to other projects.

Additionally, while Fanning may regret not being able to properly say goodbye to those involved, it's clear that she found peace with the series finale. With the star weighing in on the series' conclusion, many may consider their perspective on how they choose to view The Great from now on.
