This article contains SPOILERS for Season 3, Episode 7!Elgin’s visions of Kimono Woman have intensified throughout Of Season 3, and they could be leading to a deeper reveal about a mystery introduced in Season 1. Of 2nd season, Elgin began to be tormented by visions of a waterlogged skeletal ghost wearing a kimono.including a terrifying moment when she almost drowned him in a bathtub. Very little was subsequently revealed about Kimono Woman throughout Of Season 3, but it looks like that will change now that she’s asking Elgin to “help” her.
So far, Kimono Woman has only appeared in two locations: the Colony House and the basement. The Colony House was where Elgin first saw her and continued to have visions of the ghost. In contrast, the wine cellar has a history of being a place where ghosts and supernatural entities – like the music box ballerina and the corpses that Elgin and Jade saw – seem to have a more general connection. THE Colony House Apparently Has a Deeper Connection to the Kimono Woman Storyand its ghostly appearance may indicate a dark connection to a mysterious nearby location.

Did the Kimono Woman Died in Brundles Near Casa Colônia?
The Kimono Woman in Of She normally has a wet appearance when Elgin sees her, which suggests she may have died from drowning. When she held Elgin underwater in the bathtub, she may have been showing him how she died in this town. If so, then it is likely that she died by drowning in Brundles, the lake near Colony House. This would explain why his ghost appears to Elgin at the nearby Colony House, as his spirit may have become trapped there after meeting a tragic fate in the water.
Fátima originally took Julie to Brundles in Of season 1, and later discussed the location with Elgin in season 2 after he revealed he had a vision. Fatima told Elgin that she is not sure why the small lake is called Brundles, as it has always been called that before she even arrived. If Kimono Woman really drowned there, then Elgin’s visions of her could finally reveal the lake’s history and the origins of the Brundles’ name.

As the program has repeatedly reiterated, the visions that seem OfThe main characters are no coincidence. Elgin revealed in season 2 that he saw the Brundles in a visionso it’s hard to believe that this body of water isn’t connected to his visions of the Kimono Woman who tried to drown him. Similar to the kids calling Tabitha Matthews to OfTo save them from the tower, Kimono Woman may have called Elgin to the city to help save her trapped spirit.
The Brundles and the lake near the settlement are two of the only known bodies of water in Ofcity.
The Brundles probably have a deeper dark history in Offrom the past that connects to several other mysteries, and Kimono Woman seems like the most likely way to potentially tie those threads together. There have been several theories that a flood destroyed much of the city at some point in the site’s history, which some have used to explain Ofmotel is missing. It is possible that this theorized flood created Brundles in Ofwith the spirit of the Kimono Woman trapped in the waters below.
