The hit anime franchise from CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners returned unexpectedly as a manga, surprising fans with a prequel. Kadokawa has just sneakily released a new addition to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners franchise without any warning, and it could be the perfect surprise to end the year, especially for Cyberpunk fans desperately wanting more from the vibrant series.

Kadokawa released a new prequel manga for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners entitled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness, on the Comic Alive+ platform with the first chapter releasing unannounced on Friday, December 13th. The series was written by CDPR's Bartosz Sztybor, writer and producer of the original anime, and was illustrated by Asano, who also worked on the manga adaptation of BNA: Brand new animal.


Cyberpunk Edgerunners Madness Key Visual

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness will be available in seven other languages ​​besides Japanese, including Polish, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Traditional Chinese and, of course, English, with Dark Horse Comics distributing the series in paperback in English. The manga follows sisters Rebecca and Pilar as they try to make a name for themselves in Night City.

David Martinez (Kenichiro Ohashi) is a smart boy who lives in the slums of Night City in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. To survive, David becomes an edgerunner, also known as a cyberpunk, taking on mercenary work outside the system. Along with a group of new and veteran edgerunners, David will rocket to the moon to escape the underbelly of the increasingly cyberspace-obsessed city. Unfortunately, the law is not the only group the edgerunners will have to face, as other heavily cybernetic humans will pose an even more significant threat.
