Star Wars Rebels“The Ghost Team was an integral force in the Rebellion’s fight against the Empire, but how dangerous were each of its members individually? The Ghost Team may be Star wars the most charming ragtag group of characters; Each character – Hera Syndulla, Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, Sabine Wren, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger and, yes, even their droid Chopper – come from a disturbing, traumatic or violent past. Hera, the leader of the Phantom Team, has given them all a new sense of purpose, a new family, and perhaps most importantly, something to fight for.
Of course, each team member brought their own useful skills to the game. As Jedi, Kanan and Ezra were invaluable to the group and the Rebellion as a whole. Sabine was a skilled engineer, Zeb was an excellent bodyguard, Hera was an exceptional pilot, and Chopper was an incredibly smart mechanic. They fit together well as a team, but as with any team, some members are bound to be more dangerous and powerful than others.

Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios
Ghost 4: Muscle
Zeb Orrelios, codename Specter 4, is a skilled warrior and protector. As one of the few remaining Lasats, Zeb’s anger at the genocide of his people – especially towards the Imperial agent Kallus – fueled his thirst for fight and strengthened his determination to help the Rebellion and those communities that had suffered under the dictatorial rule of the Empire. He wields the bo-rifle, a formidable weapon that can be used both as a staff and as a blaster rifle, which was given to him when he became captain of the Lasat Honor Guard.
Zeb’s fighting skills combined with his brute strength (he was excellent at beating up stormtroopers whenever the need arose) made Zeb an undeniably important part of the Wraith Team. However, since most of Zeb’s skills are most useful when the entire team is on a mission, he is overall the least dangerous member of the Wraith Team.. However, if you need someone to back you up in a fight, you should definitely give Zeb a call.

Hera Syndulla
Ghost 2: Leader and Pilot
Hera Syndulla, codename Specter 2, is the leader of the Wraith Team and one of the most skilled pilots the galaxy has ever seen. She might even be the most experienced pilot of them all. Hera could fly Ghost – and indeed any other ship – with precision, creativity and passion. She was driven by instinct, but she was also a skilled strategist. Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Empire’s most feared and revered tactician, even admired her cockpit skills and leadership of the Rebels. Unsurprisingly, Hera was eventually promoted to the rank of general in the Rebel Alliance.
However, Hera’s skills lie in leadership, strategy, and protecting her crew and her ship. She is not a warrior like Zeb, Kanan, Sabine or Ezra, although she is quite ruthless when the situation calls for it. She may have been a major thorn in the side of the Empire as the leader of the Rebel Alliance, but without her team backing her, Hera could do little against the might of the Imperial war machine.

S1-10P aka “Chopper”
Ghost 3: Mechanic
C1-10P, lovingly known as Chopper or Ghost 3, has committed countless war crimes. Yes, indeed – this little orange-domed astromech is a serious killing machine, with nearly 4,500 Imperial deaths to his name (and counting). For example, in Star Wars Rebels Season 2, Episode 9, “Hidden Strike”, Chopper single-handedly sabotages the Imperial Interlayer’s gravity well, causing it and two nearby light cruisers to crash into each other and explode.
Chopper is cunningly and gleefully cruel, but he is also fiercely loyal to Hera Syndulla and the rest of the Wraith team. While his kill count is undoubtedly (and rather painfully) impressive, Chopper is unfortunately limited by the need to be in the right place at the right time. Additionally, while destroying Imperial ships and killing Imperial officers harms the Empire, the harm is often only temporary. There are always new people to hire and new ships to build. Chopper’s exploits, while impressive, did not have a lasting effect. However, Chopper returned to the game during the New Republic era, so anything can happen next.

Sabine Ren
Ghost 5: Weapons and Explosives Expert
Sabine Wren, also known as Wraith 5, poses a threat to the Empire (and other enemies of the Wraith Team) on several levels. First of all, she’s a weapons expert and a Class A engineer. In other words, if you need explosives, call Sabine Wren. Although she initially created some of her deadliest inventions for the Empire, she eventually turned against them and directed her designs towards them. IN Star Wars Rebels For example, in season 4 episode 2 “Heroes of Mandalore (2)”, she reprograms one of her old weapons for use against the Empire rather than the Mandalorians.
Her Mandalorian heritage is also a big part of why Sabine poses such a threat to the Empire. Taking the legendary Darksaber, Sabine manages to reunite her family and turn her Mandalorian clan, who until this point were loyal (under duress) to the Empire, against them. The Mandalorians and their resources were a huge asset to the Empire – losing their “loyalty” was a devastating blow to them.
Finally, most recently, Sabine revealed her potential as a Force user. She still has a lot to learn, and her mentor, Ahsoka Tano, will likely give her a crash course now that they’re both stuck in another world. Star wars galaxy. But Jedi of any skill level always pose a threat to the Empire, and in this case to the Imperial Remnant. How powerful will Sabine become? We’ll have to wait and see.

Kanan Jarrus
Ghost 1: Solider and the Jedi Knight
As a Jedi, Kanan Jarrus – former Caleb Dume, also known as Ghost 1 – posed a huge threat to the Empire and, more importantly, Emperor Palpatine. Where there are Jedi, there is hope, and Kanan has succeeded in providing hope to those who desperately need it.. Of course, Kanan also trained another new Jedi, his young Padawan Ezra Bridger. Before meeting Kanan, Ezra was stuck on the streets of Lothal with no idea what he was capable of. Kanan changed the fate of the Empire by mentoring Ezra, although at the time neither Jedi could imagine what they could achieve together.
However, mentoring Ezra was not Kanan’s only disdain for the Empire. He was a truly powerful Jedi in his own right, despite never completing his training in the Jedi Order. IN Star Wars Rebels In the first season, he defeated the Grand Inquisitor, Darth Vader’s highest-ranking Jedi hunter. Kanan also lost his sight after a fatal duel with Maul (formerly Darth) in Star Wars Rebels finale of the second season, but as a result his connection to the Force became stronger.
You can read more about Kanan’s life before and after Order 66 in the comic book series. Star Wars: Kanan Greg Weisman and the novel Star Wars: A New Dawn John Jackson Miller.
It was this strong connection with the Force that allowed him to do what needed to be done in Star Wars Rebels Season 4, episode 10, “Night of the Jedi.” Kanan used all of his considerable power to save Hera, Sabine, and Ezra from an Imperial fuel tank explosion, regaining his sight but sacrificing himself in the process. Little did he or the Empire know that Kanan’s selflessness would be the beginning of the end of the Empire’s operations on Lothal and the Empire’s reign as a whole.

Ezra Bridger
Ghost 6: Jedi Padawan
It could be argued that Kanan and Ezra’s places on this list are interchangeable. After all, they were both formidable Jedi, hard to find and even harder to kill. However, Ezra’s story may just be beginning. Despite everything he has already done to harm the Empire, and all the difficulties he has had to overcome along the way, it is unlikely that Ezra has reached his full potential. There is still a lot more to come from him. Hopefully we’ll see what role Ezra still has to play in the fight against the Imperial Remnant in Ahsoka Season 2 (and possibly The Mandalorian and Grogutoo much).
Although it took Ezra some time to become a Jedi, his power really began to emerge in Star Wars Rebels season 3. He became a skilled tactician, wielding his lightsaber with incredible dexterity and ease, as well as his connection to the creatures around him, especially the wolves of Lot and the murrgils. Star wars space whales crossing hyperspace – what was already unusual, became even more unusual. He also overcame the temptation of the dark side and the persuasive nature of Maul. It seemed like there was nothing Ezra couldn’t do. Yet he had one last lesson to learn.
When Kanan sacrificed himself, everything changed for Ezra. When he gained access to the World Between Worlds (the dimension connecting all space and time) and saved the life of Ahsoka Tano – another blow to what would become the Remnant of the Empire – Ezra learned the most important lesson: the art of letting go. He misses his chance to save his Master’s life in the World Between Worlds, ruining Emperor Palpatine’s chances of gaining access to him in the process. He also gave up the opportunity to be with his parents again, whom he lost when he was just a small boy, all in the name of the Rebellion.
Most importantly, he sacrificed his future along with his Wraith Command family to exile himself and Grand Admiral Thrawn to places unknown, freeing Lothal and destroying the Empire’s power structure in the process. Palpatine believed that Thrawn was one of the few Imperials cunning enough to defeat the Rebel Alliance once and for all. His disappearance was the beginning of the end. Ezra has caused harm to the Empire time and time again.

Of course, there’s one final member of the Specter Team to think about – Specter 7, aka Jacen Syndulla. Jacen is the son of Hera and Kanan, born after Kanan’s death. However, despite the fact that there are enough hints in Star Wars Rebels epilogue and Ahsoka To suggest that Jacen is Force sensitive, it is currently impossible to say what kind of threat he would pose to the Imperial Remnant or even the First Order. However, if he is as strong and selfless as his father, and if he is trained by Ezra (or even Luke Skywalker), it is impossible to predict what Jacen might achieve in the not-too-distant future.
All in all, Ghost Crew was and remains an important team in the world. Star wars canon. They were an integral part of the Rebel Alliance and the destruction of the Empire, and most of the team – unfortunately with the exception of Kanan – would continue to fight against the Empire’s long oppression during Star wars‘The Age of the New Republic. I hope we see Star Wars Rebels‘ heroes again soon.
