Dune's new The Voice Twist is the most shocking yet

WARNING: SPOILERS ahead for the Season 1 finale of Dune: Prophecy.

THE Dune franchise introduced a new twist involving the power of the Bene Gesserit voice in Dune: Prophecy end of season 1. Dune: Prophecy is a six-part series based on the 2012 novel Dune Brotherhoodwhich was written by the original Dune son of author Frank Herbert, Brian, and Kevin J. Anderson. In Dune: Prophecy episode 3, Tula takes Lila's life into her own hands after she apparently died during the Agony ritual. Episode 4 reveals that Lila was resurrected through the Thinking Machine, Anirul. Tula using her voice on Valya is truly shocking

During the final moments of Dune: Prophecy end of season 1, Tula uses the Voice in a shocking way against her sister, Mother Reverend Superior Valyato stop her from killing her abandoned son, Desmond Hart. Before episode 6, it seemed like no one would be able to use the power of the Bene Gesserit Voice against Valya. Valya was the one who initially discovered/created the distinct power and taught it to a select few Sisters, including Tula.

Initially it seemed that none of the Sisters could use the power of the Voice on Valya. Rather, it was probably not a matter of skill but of respect that none of the Sisters dared to use it against Valya, whose Voice powers were likely more advanced than anyone else's. This proved to be a myth based on Tula's ability to successfully use it on Valya when it mattered most, saving her son Desmond in the process. Even Valya seemed surprised that Tula used the Voice against her.which seems to have been the first time in their lives.

Dune: Prophecy Made Voice Even More Interesting Than Movies

Desmond Hart was the only one who resisted the Voice in the Dune cinematic universe

The power of the Bene Gesserit Voice is one of the most compelling aspects of the Fellowship and the original Dune films. It is without a doubt one of the most powerful abilities in the Dune universe and is accessible only to the Bene Gesserit. While Lady Jessica and others use the Voice throughout the Dune films with intriguing ends, Dune: Prophecy Season 1 makes the Voice even more dangerous by presenting its origin and its creator's lack of moral restraint. Dune: Prophecy it also introduced the first person in the Dune cinematic universe to resist the power of the Voice, which reveals that it may not be as universally lethal as it seemed in the films.
