Dragon Ball p Ends almost thirty years ago, with a decade-long time-skip to continue the story to its conclusion. There, the main cast of Z-Fighters and friends reunited after supposed years apart, and were set to fight in another World Martial Arts Tournament. Before Dragon Ball Super Coming and set in the ten years after the fight with Majin Buu, the series’ original ending was a neat tied-up, heartfelt send-off to Goku and friends, calling back to Dragon Balls earliest days.
Unfortunately, at the time DBZ Completed, plans for Super was still far in the future, and so The finale written by Akira Toriyama felt like a final goodbye to the series. Placing the events of Dragon Ball Super During this time, the jump allowed for more creativity when developing a new series, as the main cast was still young, with minimal changes to the design. Dragon Ball p.
However, now that the events of Dragon Ball Super Having spanned the majority of the ten years, the series is creeping ever closer to the time of Dragon Ball pIt’s the end. and with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero A year before the World Martial Arts Tournament, it is likely that too much has changed for ps ending to fit into the continuity of Dragon Ball. The best solution to this problem, although it may anger longtime fans, is to just ignore the ending altogether.
Too much has changed for DBZ’s ending to make sense
Inconsistencies in the Dragon Ball timeline invalidate the ending of p
For continuity’s sake, excuses can be made for how the main characters appear in Dragon Ball pIt’s the end. In particular, humans like Bulma, Chi Kai, and Krillin all seem to have aged by the last mini-arc of the series. It wouldn’t be the first time characters have suddenly and noticeably aged, as seen when Goku arrived as a full-grown adult for the 23rd World Tournament at the end of Dragon Ball. What can not be excused away, however, are The inconsistencies in the timeline caused by Dragon Ball Super.
The most serious of which, Bulma claims not to have seen Goku in five yearsis simply impossible to explain. The events of Dragon Ball Super: BrolyAlthough not officially confirmed, are speculated to have taken place three or so years earlier DBZIt’s the end. In the film, Bulma is present and in Goku’s company for the entire runtime. Further confirmation comes with Pan, who is said to be four years old during the World Martial Arts Tournament and was very much alive during the events of BrolyWhen Goku and Bulma interacted.
Another major discrepancy comes in the fact that Gohan has resumed training in SuperAnd is currently just as strong if not stronger than Goku and Vegeta. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Takes place approximately a year earlier DBZ‘s ending, which included a notably out-of-shape Gohan. It makes no sense at all that the character, who only recently rose to such heights, should lose his form so quickly.
The Uub plotline is no longer realistic
Goku no longer has a reason to train with Uub
The most important aspect of Dragon Ball pThe end is Goku’s decision to leave and train with Uub, the main protagonist believing that the reincarnated Buu could one day surpass even him. Although the conclusion works for the series, as Kid Buu was the last threat to Earth, It turns out once Super is brought into the mix. Meanwhile, Buu is several leagues below Goku and Vegeta, as well as the enemies they fought. It makes little sense at this point for Goku to so desperately want to train with someone on this level.
Even if Uub’s potential is much higher than Kid Buu’s strength, it is improbable that a human could ever reach the heights of Vegeta, Gohan, Beerus or Whis. And if that’s the case, there isn’t much reason for Goku to leave training with them for Uub. Even Piccolo, with his new orange form that rivals Saiyan strength, sits on the sidelines during Dragon Ball ps ending, rather than fighting in the tournament.
All the drastic changes to the main characters during Dragon Ball Super make pThe time-scape is difficult to place coherently in the timeline of events. And at this point, the best option for the forward of the series is To forget it even happened. Especially now, with Dragon Ball Dima On the horizon, it is uncertain how modified the timeline will be.
