Dragon Ball Daima reveals new cast, bringing surprising stars to the anime

The official English cast of Dragon Ball Daima has finally been revealed. Since then Dragon Ball Daima was first announced, a major question was who would voice the characters. Naturally, all of the new characters would need voice actors, but with all of the returning characters being turned into children, this opened up the possibility of a new cast replacing the old ones, despite the years of history with the franchise.

To Dragon Ball DaimaIn the Japanese dub, there is a new cast of voice actors for both the new characters and the (Mini) versions of the old ones, except Goku (Mini), who is still voiced by Masako Nozawa. For the English dub with the first three episodes currently showing in theaters most of the main English voice cast for Dragon Ball Daima was finally revealed before its official release. Naturally, most of the cast is new Dragon ball and voice acting, in general, but based on what little has been heard, they are all quite suitable for their roles.

Explanation of the voice actors of the new Dragon Ball Daima characters

As previously announced at New York Comic-Con 2024, Aaron Dismuke voices Glorio in Dragon Ball DaimaEnglish dub, Dismuke previously known for voicing Senku in Dr. Stone and Alphonse in the original Fullmetal Alchemist. Additionally, Gomah, Degesu, Dr. Arinsu and Neva will be voiced by Tom Laflin, Landon McDonald, Morgan Garrett and Garrett Schenck, respectively; Laflin has mostly played supporting characters in anime and video games so far, but McDonald is known for voicing Noritoshi in Jujutsu KaisenGarrett is known for voicing young Sabo in One pieceand Schenck previously voiced Gowasu in Dragon Ball Super.

The only new character whose English voice actor has not yet been confirmed is Panzy, but that’s easy to explain. The theatrical release of Dragon Ball Daima only covers the first three episodes of the anime, but Panzy doesn’t appear properly until episode 4, so Dragon Ball Daima has not yet released enough English dubs to reveal Panzy’s English voice actor. The official release of the English dub should be quick after the theatrical release, so it won’t be long before Panzy’s English voice actor is finally confirmed.

The new faces of Dragon Ball

As previously announced, Stephanie Nadolny, original voice actress for Kid Goku, returns to the Dragon ball for the first time in over a decade to voice Goku (Mini), and for the other main cast members, Shin, Vegeta, Bulma and Piccolo in their (Mini) forms will be voiced by Nia Celeste, Paul Castro Jr., Taylor Murphy and Nasim Benelkour, respectively.. Most of them don’t have many notable roles, but Castro Jr. voiced Ryota Miyagi in The first dunk and Sakurama in Go! Go! Loser Ranger! So he has at least played some notable roles in recent years.

As for the rest of the returning cast, most (Mini) characters in Dragon Ball Daima are voiced by voice actors who are relatively new or relatively unknown; the biggest names are probably Brittany Lauda for Chi-Chi (Mini), best known for voicing Ichigo in Darling in the Franxxand Jordan Dash Cruz for Krillin (Mini), best known for voicing Stark in Frieren: beyond the journey’s end.
