Even with all the leaps in power that Vegeta has made, it has been a huge obstacle that he has never unlocked Super Saiyan 3, as although he has unlocked much more powerful forms, it makes his rivalry with Goku feel less even though Vegeta doesn't have something that matches each of Goku's forms.
Vegeta went years without using Super Saiyan 3 in any official media, but that finally changed as of Dragon Ball Daima episode #12. Episode #12 continued the fight between Vegeta and Tamagami Number 2 and in a surprise twist Vegeta, for the first time in Dragon ball story, used Super Saiyan 3 during the fight with Tamagami Number 2as shown below in an official tweet from Dragon ballIt's official X account.
