This guide contains spoilers for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Some time before the events of Dragon Age: The Veil GuardSolas extracted fragments of his own regrettable or shameful memories and I hid them in six wolf figurines Rook can find it by exploring the Fade. Solas, as the elven god of trickery, lies and rebellion, led a revolt of enslaved elves against their powerful and tyrannical masters Evanuris, who would come to make up the Elven Pantheon of Dragon Age universe. However, there is more to the story of the ancient elves before the creation of the Veil, and much of it is contained in Solas’ memories.
A significant area of exploration in Dragon Age: The Veil Guard is the Encruzilhada, the area where many eluvians converged in the Dragon Age: Inquisition: Invader DLC. While this location contains the Eluvians who unlock various regions and faction hubs upon Thedas Rook’s visits throughout the game, it is also an area for exploration and puzzles in its own right. To find all six wolf figurines and unlock the story they contain, players will need to delve deep into the Crossroads, defeat some of the ruined champions of Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain, and witness some of Solas’ memoriesgood and shameful.
Where to find the six wolves figurines
Collect Solas’ memories at the crossroads
Five of the six wolf figurines containing memory fragments of Solas can be found by exploring the crossroads in Dragon Age: The Veil Guard and clearing the gates blocked by the plague. The sixth is given directly to Rook by the Inquisitor in a cutscene during the main story mission. Something wrong. Wolf figurines are part of the quest Regrets of the Dire Wolf which will be unlocked at the Crossroads when Rook and his party stumble upon the first of Solas’s Fade memories, usually The labs below or The Call of the Wolf.
Where to find the first wolf figurine
The first wolf figurine can be found after completing The Call of the Wolf Crossroads side quest. After experiencing Solas’ memory as one of his rebels, Rook can collect the first Wolf Figurine.
Where to find the second wolf figurine
The second Wolf Figurine can be found after defeating the ogre champion at the Crossroads near Converging City and completing The labs below. After experiencing Solas’ memory of Ghilan’nain’s experiments, Rook can take the second Wolf Figurine.
Where to find the third wolf figurine
Typically, the third Wolf Figurine will be the one given to Rook by the Inquisitor in the tavern in Dock Town when the main quest is completed. Something wrong becomes available. The Inquisitor will suggest that Rook take the figurine back to the Lighthouse and see if it can help them uncover some secrets.
Collecting this figurine will unlock the ability to place them on the Lighthouse’s pedestals and begin reviewing Solas’ memories with the group. At this point, players should be able to place and view all three currently collected memories.
Where to find the fourth wolf figurine
After defeating the Ruined Champion tied to the Gate of Lost Ages in Dock Town, the fourth Wolf Figurine can be found beyond the now-open Gate of Lost Ages. It’s locked behind one of Venatori’s crystal barriers and guarded by several demons.
To find the Gate of Lost Ages champion, walk to the Gate of Lost Ages at the Crossroads. The Janitor will appear to give Rook the associate Gate of Lost Ages quest, which can then be tracked with a quest marker in Dock Town. The plague bubble is in the Lost Company mine in Docktown.
It’s usually best to focus on defeating the drowned miners here first, before destroying the plague bubble and challenging the champion to avoid being overwhelmed by difficult combat. The enemies in this area are between levels 15 and 20.
Where to find the fifth wolf figurine
Once the Gate of Lost Ages is opened, Rook must follow the Regrets of the Dire Wolf quest marker for the Heights of Athim area at the Crossroads and complete the Disrupt and conquer memory search. At the end of this quest, they will receive the fifth Wolf Figurine.
Where to find the sixth wolf figurine
The sixth and final Wolf Statue is locked behind the Gate of Faded Glories at the Crossroads. This quest is unlocked during the party’s main quest travels, so players will need to progress through the main story of Dragon Age: The Veil Guard to find him.
What to do with wolf figurines
Get inside the head of the dire wolf
Once collected from the Inquisitor, Rook can bring the found Wolf Figurines back to the Lighthouse and place them on the pedestals around the library. These will apply murals of Solas, like those he painted Dragon Age: Inquisitionup to the walls surrounding the library’s main table. These murals depict moments from his fight against the Evanuris and reveal memories of his greatest regrets. The entire group will come together to witness each of these memory fragments and discuss what they might mean.
Players will need to collect all of the wolf figurines and memories at the crossroads and receive the “Essence of Mythal” if they want it. unlock the option to “rescue” Solas at the end of Dragon Age: The Veil Guard.
