Dragon Age: The Veilguard – How to unlock all secret areas of the lighthouse

Every team of heroes needs a base, and the Lighthouse is that base in Dragon Age: The Veil Guard; however, The Lighthouse’s role as a safe haven for your group doesn’t mean there aren’t things there for you to discover. One of my favorite things about Guard of the Veil It’s been the sense of discovery it brings me, and the Lighthouse is no different from the rest of the game in that. From rooms you unlock as you gain more companions, to hidden chests, there are many secrets.

The Lighthouse used to be Solas’ base of operations, so it’s no surprise that it’s just as mysterious as its previous inhabitants. The idea of hidden rooms and secret rewards for puzzle enthusiasts will be an interesting challenge. However, for those who don’t like puzzles, the Lighthouse’s mysteries may be more frightening than exciting.

How to unlock all the secret areas of the lighthouse

Start with the music room and then go deeper

There are some secrets hidden in the Lighthouse, and if you look at the Lighthouse map, there are some chests for you to discover. The first of these mysteries can be discovered the first time you arrive at the Lighthouse after interrupting Solas’ ritual. To unlock the music room, you will need to find three sets of statues.

After lining up the three sets of statues in the Lighthouse’s outer courtyard, you can return to the hidden passage to gain access to the Music Room, which contains a chest and some scattered materials. There’s nothing else you can do here until you recruit Emmrich. After returning with everyone’s favorite Mourn Watcher, the Caretaker will tell you that there is more to be discovered at the Lighthouse.

The Wisp Puzzle – Library Balcony

After recruiting Emmrich, return to the Music Room to find that a Wisp has appeared near two small braziers. You will know from Emmrich’s quest that you can find the Wisps to bring them to the braziers and put them in place. Do this with the first Wisp, but you’ll need to find where the other one is to open the door completely.

After placing the first Wisp, the Caretaker will appear to tell you, “Another helper waits among the facing gods.” If you remember the statue puzzle, you will remember that these statues are actually representations of Solas, who is an elven god. You will need to find two Solas statues facing each other. On the courtyard balcony, you will find the second Wisp between the two statues.

Take this Wisp and return to the Music Room. Be quick, as the Wisp will get bored if it takes you too long to reach the brazier and return to your place among the statues. Once you reach the brazier, approach it and the Wisp will click into place.

The portal that appears will take you to the balcony above the library. There will be some items up there, and you can also interact with the blue crystalline orb to fix the Astrolabe floating on the balcony. This will give you a permanent discount at Oficina do Caseiro, which will help keep your team fully prepared for any fight.

The Laser Puzzle – Off the Island

This third and final puzzle will allow you to enter the Wolf’s Lair, which is Solas’ former personal quarters from his time as the Lighthouse’s sole resident. To unlock the Wolf’s Lair, return to the Library Balcony after unlocking the Gray Warden faction vendor. You will see a new Wisp and a new brazier.

Take Wisp to the brazier and a portal will appear. This new portal will take you to an island outside the Lighthouse. This island contains a laser, elven batteries, some energy crystals, and a chest. All you have to do is turn on the laser emitter and use it to power the three crystals that float above the nearby buildings. You can see specific locations at DaOpavideo on YouTube.

After freeing all the Wisps from the crystals, you can return to the Library, where a new door will open. You can now enter Solas’ quarters in front of the Music Room door. Here, you’ll find some items and another chest, along with some stories that reveal even more about Dragon Age: The Veil Guardsecrets.
