Where to find all companion gifts in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Search specific areas unlocked in the story
Since it’s practically impossible to have a romance with someone until you find their favorite gift, you should check with suppliers in all major settlements to find unique items with seemingly no other purpose. Each companion has a unique item they would love to receive as a giftmaking it difficult to know what to get. However, you can pay attention to their dialogue when talking to them to get tips on the best possible gift.
Gifts are sold by Faction Merchantsthen a companion’s favorite gift is probably linked to which faction they belong to. For example, Davrin is associated with the Gray Wardens faction, who generally reside in the Hossberg Wetlands. Even if you get this clue by talking to this companion between missions, you can assume that the merchant in Hossberg Wetlands might carry Davrin’s favorite gift item.
Even with all the context clues, it can still be difficult to know which items from a vendor’s store can be given as gifts to companions. To make sure you’re not giving the wrong gift to a potential romantic interest, here’s each date’s favorite item and where you can find each one:

You’ll need to unlock many of the locations where companion gifts can be found by simply running through story events long enough to make different regions available for exploration.
Buying any gift item unlocks a complementary side mission where you can give that character what you just bought.
