The Doctor Doom Takeover of the Marvel Universe will continue in an upcoming series dedicated to the villain’s growing role with The Rise of Emperor Doom. The storyline continues the villain’s rise in power from his rise as Sorcerer Supreme, to literal world domination, as Marvel promises Doom’s new mission will touch and impact every corner of his fictional universe… heroes included.
Marvel’s New York Comic-Con panel reveals the new limited series featuring Doctor Doom, from Fantastic practice Writer Ryan North, and artist Rob Silva. The panel also unveiled cover art from Ben Harvey, as well as interior art from Silva, and even confirmed the return of the distinct ‘Dino Doom’ variant first seen in last year’s. The Rise of Emperor Doom is currently slated for a February 2025 release, with The larger One world under the status quo Show Marvel’s commitment to evolving Doctor Doom into Earth’s most powerful figure.

For those Marvel fans marking their calendars, the new announcement means what was promised One world under doom Event has its main series in place, as the five issue event series The Rise of Emperor Doom Will chronicle the villain’s further takeover of the entire planet, and subjugation of every nation to a province under his rule. Marvel is promising that the series of North and Silva will “Take readers behind the mask as they bear witness to the triumphs and triumphs of Doom’s rule, as well as the foolish attempts to cap it.”

Since he debuted as an enemy of the Fantastic Four, the dictator of Latveria has always been positioned among Marvel’s upper echelons. He may not always be viewed as one of Marvel’s most physically imposing villains, but he has always been among the most competent villains, so much so that even villains like Kang respect him. This is a whole new era for Doctor Doom, one that Puts him on track to become not only Marvel’s most powerful villain, but the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe, regardless of hero vs. villain..

When Doctor Doom first became the Sorcerer Supreme, it was speculated that it could set Doom on course for a surprising hero turn. For many, it may be a safe bet to assume that hero potential is over if he truly becomes Emperor to conquer the planet, but not necessarily. Doctor Doom’s road to heroism may just be more than expected, with a worldwide takeover bump in the road. His intentions for world domination may be as pure as those for Latveria, but if Doctor Doom Not realizing the error of his ways, his hero potential is over.
