Marvel's version of Santa Claus isn't simply a fairy tale; he is an extremely ancient, omega-level mutant whose magic derives from humanity's belief in him, and an important aspect that Doctor Doom shares with Santa Claus is his relationship with magic. Doom's late and beloved mother was a witch, and Doom inherited this passion for mysticism into his adulthood, eventually freeing his mother's soul from the Demon Mephisto with the help of Doctor Strange. Doom has shown that he has the power to wield such important magical and spirit abilities, especially when considering that Doom is now the reigning Sorcerer Supreme.
