Although Gabriela’s decision not to proceed with the marriage was at the heart of the Land of Fire
season 3 premiere, how it impacted other people, damaging another of their major relationships was at the center of Land of Fire season 3, episode 2. Land of Fire the premiere of season 3 marked the moment when Gabriela finally clarified with Bode and Diegoadmitting to the first how her feelings for him still existed and to the second how she no longer wanted to marry him because of her confused feelings. The ordeal obviously impacted Diego greatly, but its consequences also affected someone else.

Gabriela and Diego’s wedding plan left Manny ecstatic, seeing Gabriela finally settle down the way he always hoped she would. Since then Land of Fire In Season 1, Manny was against Gabriela following in his footsteps, preferring her to return to diving instead of training to become a firefighter. Although he accepted her choice, he was only enchanted by her when he learned of her marriage to Diego, making Gabriela’s decision to break up difficult for Manny to accept, especially since he wasn’t there when she couldn’t go through with it.

Manny and Gabriela’s expectations that the other should have apologized contributed to disproportionate the fight in Land of Fire Season 3, but Season 1 already highlighted his inability to communicate. In fact, Manny’s feelings of shame after replaying the game in season one led him to work two jobs to try to pay off his debts and hide the truth from Gabriela.. Manny was quicker to accept Vince’s help Land of Fire Season 1 than admitting his problem to Gabriela, who judged him for taking two jobs, not seeing Manny’s struggle after he supposedly hid it from her.

Manny’s reaction shortly after his accusation highlighted how his and Gabriela’s dynamic hasn’t changed since the first season. As soon as the father-daughter duo met again, Manny began to comment on Gabriela’s choice of marriage in Land of Fire season 3blaming Roberta for the example she gave Gabriela who taught her “how to get out.” The conversation quickly turned into an unresolved fight that left Manny alone on the court and Gabriela running away from him, resorting to their usual tendency to explode after only seeing their own perspective, only to avoid each other after the exchange.

Manny and Gabriela reacting like they always did in Land of Fire Season 3 Episode 2 underscored the need for them to change the dynamics of their relationship. In fact, how Manny and Gabriela always get closer never letting them really see or understand each othermaking it imperative that they see each other’s perspective rather than just trying to find someone to blame. Doing so could finally transform their bond into something that allows Manny and Gabriela to be more receptive to each other’s desires, ultimately making their relationship better. Land of Fire season 3.
