Dead Island 2 Fans are about to return to Hell A like Dambuster Studios shed more light on the upcoming New Game+ update which is more extensive than many initially assumed. Traditionally speaking, New Game + Modes give players a chance to start their chosen game from scratch, but with all their previous upgrades available right from the start, allowing them to unlock even more powerful options. It’s a great way to provide users with an incentive to keep playing, but it’s especially fun when studios go one step further and make the new Game+ offering even more unique.
Over on Dambuster Studios‘ official blog, the developer confirmed that The New Game+ update is scheduled to arrive on October 22 And will bring with it everything that can be expected and some additional bonuses. Besides all previously unlocked skills, abilities and weapons carrying over, it also mixes up encounters to spawn certain zombie types in new locations to keep the gameplay fresh and players on their toes. The whole experience will also be much more difficult, as each zombie has its health buffed while Apex Zombie variants will be much earlier in the story.
A fresh take on Dead Island 2
The Apex zombies are not the hardest enemies
While Apex variants will probably already give players quite a hassle when they start New Game+, the new Revenants will be even more brutal. The undead monstrosities are tweaked versions of the Apex zombies that have a dark makeover, unique behaviors and altered abilities Which makes them the most difficult-to-kill creatures in Dead Island 2. Dambuster warned survivors that while they don’t need to kill every revenant they encounter, they should try their best since they can drop some powerful rewards.
To help out with the pesky revenants, players can now use their own New Game+ upgrades. This mode will provide users with more slots for skill cards and abilities, allowing even more techniques to be equipped At any given time. With this, completely new builds should be possible, opening up even more avenues for destroying the hordes of undead roaming the streets of Hell A.

Screen Rant’s Take: New Game+ is always fun
Even if people have moved on
I believe giving players an additional way to play any game is a fantastic move By developers, because it provides consumers with extra money for their money. Dead Island 2 There is already a lot of content, but it remains to be seen whether the community plans to stick around for the New Game + mode update. The game is almost a year and a half old at this point, and while it’s great to support those who stuck with their mission to kill zombies, I doubt many will come back just to experience the game again, albeit with a little More tools.
