As DC’s multiverse flourished, so did its roster of young heroes, from entirely new characters to stylized versions of characters specific to their Earths. But as each limited series came and went, DC has apparently forgotten about new additions to its lore that made each Earth different and exciting. Since DC already has the Multiversity to bring together adult heroes from different Earths, a Multiversity Young Justice should have already been made to do the same with younger heroes who need a return.
While the Multiverse was only officially restored in Dark CrisisDC maintained its creative story funnel with inventive books that delved into the ‘what ifs’ of superhero history. Over time, prominent characters emerged: newer characters, either completely new or greatly altered from their main Earth counterpart. DC is in dire need of one Multiversity iteration of its Young Justice team to bring these 10 heroes together.

Jackie Napier
The Joker’s daughter Batman: White Knight presents: Generation Joker
The daughter of the Joker and Harley Quinn, Jackie Napier and her brother Bryce were raised without much knowledge of their father’s evil deeds, as Harley raised them with the insistence that Jack Napier and his evil counterpart were two separate people. While originally appearing as a child in Batman: Curse of the White KnightJackie played a bigger role in Batman: Beyond the White Knightbefore leading alongside his brother in Batman: White Knight presents: Generation Jokerwhich saw Jackie and Bryce connecting with their father for the first time.
In Batman: Beyond the White KnightJackie proved to be more interested in his inheritance than his brotherdressing up as the Joker. It took an adventure with the FBI on their trail for the two brothers to understand how being the Joker’s children affected their fears of aging. While I was just 12Jackie was stubborn, with a good sense of right and wrong. Raised by Harley Quinn, daughter of the Joker, with Bruce Wayne as her stepfather, there’s no doubt that Jackie could eventually become a vigilante.

Bryce Napier
The Joker’s son Batman: White Knight presents: Generation Joker
Unbeknownst to her twin sister, Bryce Napier was equally affected by his father being the Jokeralthough he demonstrated his concerns very differently. Debuting as a child in Batman: Curse of the White KnightBryce was originally introduced as a foil to his chaotic twin in Batman: Beyond the White Knightbefore being revealed in Batman: White Knight presents: Generation Joker what Bryce did his own research into the Joker’s historyafraid that his own mental state would be impacted like his father’s.
Despite being only twelve years old, Bryce has shown a great level of emotional intelligence about his own future and his parents’ history. While the world of Batman: White Knight doesn’t have many superheroes featured, unlike the main universe, Bryce would fit perfectly into a superhero teamallowing you to improve your competency in emergencies. Her calm and stubborn demeanor would serve well alongside her sister’s chaotic energy.

Jess Camaras
Jess Chambers appeared as part of Earth-11’s Teen Justice in Multiversity: Teenage Justice
Originally appearing as Future StateFlash, Jess Chambers was given a deeper storyline, delving deeper what their future could mean for them in Multiversity: Teenage Justicea limited series focused on the Earth-11 version of the Teen Titans, featuring gender-oriented versions of characters readers are familiar with. Fans of Jess Chambers got to see firsthand the experience that would ultimately support Jess’s heroics and dynamic within a team.
Over time, DC began to move away from the heroes highlighted during Future Statewith them taking on supporting roles to larger members of the League (such as Yara Flor in Tom King and Daniel Sampere’s Wonder Woman). But as a sprinter with a future as big as theirs, Jess doesn’t deserve to be ignored. The next chapter of his story could further complete his journey from young hero to future Flash.

Ashley Rayburn
Ashley starred as Primer in his self-titled YA DC comic
Ashley Rayburn is a more recent addition to the DC universe – and has not yet been added to the main universe. Part of DC’s Young Adult Comics, Ashley serves as Primera teenage superhero with the ability to harness a variety of superpowers with chemically altered paints. The paints were originally designed for military use and can only be equipped after inhaling a special gas. Primer’s powers are entirely unique to her and are suited to her creative abilities. And more: Primer was never part of a team.
With so many speedsters and Kryptonians populating the DC universe, Primer’s powers are a game changer. Not only are they completely unique, but they also they make her a strong adversary for powerful enemies. A multiversal team-up could not only bring Primer fully into the main DC universe, but also work on perfecting her teamwork, making her the best hero she could be.

Queen Mia
Mia Queen originally came from the CW Arrow played by Katherine McNamara
DC may have moved away from its ‘Arrowverse’—the universe of TV shows that encompasses programs like the CW Flash and C.W. Bat woman—but the DC Universe has not forgotten his contribution to the DC Universe. Not only did it allow heroes like Batwing, Jesse Quick, and Mister Terrific to make their live-action debut, but it also returned new heroes that could have had a long history in the comics. Queen Miato name one, it’s a notable addition to Green Arrow lore: daughter of Oliver Queenshe grew up without her father in a dystopian Star City before becoming Green Arrow.
In 2022, DC debuted a limited series called Prime Earthwhich saw many of the TV versions of heroes return in an all-new story. Mia Queen was one of them. Although female archers in Star City are not rare, Mia grew up in a town without many heroeshaving to fight and make your way to survive. Bringing her into a multiverse team would not only acknowledge the ‘Arrowverse’ again, but also give her character a new chance to make a difference alongside like-minded colleagues.

Kal-El
Kal-El crashed the party on Earth 22 DC Mechanism with a Kryptonian mech
DC Mechanism immediately stood out compared to other multiverse stories, with its large mechas that took center stage in the design aspect of the limited series. Fans of franchises like Pacific Rim may be familiar with the tropes surrounding the premise: large parademons crashing to Earth and humans generating gigantic mechs to match their size. Surprisingly, although he came to Earth much later than other variations, Kal-El also appeared in a mechready to fight to defend the Earth as his parents wanted.
DC Mechanism not only served as an introduction to the new world that Kenny Porter and Baldemar Rivas created, but also as a new origin for Kal-El: Your mech was created not just as a refuge for the baby Kryptonian, but as a way for him to eventually defeat Darkside, the destroyer of Krypton. This perspective-altering origin gives DC Mech’s Kal-El a entirely new complex mindset regarding your purpose in the universesomething that must be explored as a team.

Jacob Pierce
DC Dark Knights of SteelThe prince of the Kingdom of Storms had a tragic arc.
The kingdoms of DC Dark Knights of Steel suffered many tragedies in advance: specifically when the young prince Jacob Pierce of the Kingdom of Storms has died apparently for Zala Zor-El. Although this was eventually revealed to be a mistake, it did not undo the damage done. However Jacob was later revivedhis experience with death changed his character and gave him a whole new perspective. DC characters returning from the dead is a common occurrence for older characters, but a tentative approach for new ones: That alone made his character stronger.
While the other characters in DC Dark Knights of Steel he was still furious, violence quite normalized in his eyes, Jacob hesitated when admitting the death of another being. This not only showed the uniqueness of his character on his Earth, but also a large expanse of stories about Jacob that have yet to be explored. Prince Jacob Pierce has potentialand it is within a team, with people familiar with the touch of death, that he will be able to delve into his life-changing experience.

CameronKim
Cameron comes from the main universe, but his story was left open-ended
CameronKim, known as City Boystarred in his self-titled limited series, a graphic novel that followed his search for his mother after the events of Planet Lazaruswhich marked his first appearance in the DC Universe. Unlike other heroes, Cameron struggled with an inner darkness related to his powers. Though he ultimately comes to peace with his mother’s demise and his conflicted morality, City Boy’s powers have proven that there are valuable stories to be told with him at the center.
For readers unfamiliar with Cameron, his powers allow him to access the memories of a citylike its people who define a space. While he began speaking to cities made of metal and concrete, it was revealed that his powers also extended to less defined cities. specifically with an ant colony. There’s a lot more to explore with Cameron, especially with him already shown to be a morally wavering character.

Mia Mizoguchi
Mia encountered many Gotham vigilantes in the halls of Gotham Academy.
Gotham Academy was home to many colorful students, but Mia “Maps” Mizoguchi stood out for her unwavering belief in Batman and Robin’s ability to do good. Throughout his time at the academy, Maps encountered many of Gotham’s vigilantes, but his future was always up in the air, until Kelly Thompson Birds of Prey introduced a future version of Maps who managed to invent a device that can move her through time. The future of maps can be explained, but His journey there is exactly the kind of mystery his old detective club used to investigate.
Although Maps has always been closer to Batman’s allies than the rest of his student body, she has never been explicitly linked to the superhero community before. With her idealism, discovering her place in a world of metas and aliens is the perfect reason for her to join a team of superheroes.
Donald Troy (Multiversity: Teenage Justice)
Teen Justice didn’t just expand Jess Chamber’s story but elevated his teammates toogiving them entirely unique arcs compared to their main Earth counterparts. One of his teammates was Donald Troy, also known as Troy: the Earth-11 version of Donna Troy. Unlike his teammates, Troy’s background has not received much introspection, as most of his arc within the series had to do with his love interest Ravenand the unfolding conspiracy in question. Much of the history of the Amazons in the early universe has to do with the historical sexism that shaped their culture. Donald – and the Amazons of Earth-11 – never had their story explained.
While this may be a bigger story than Troy joining a team from the multiverse, it is his bond with Raven (who apparently sacrificed herself) and the tease of an ongoing story that has not yet been realized makes Troy a great candidate for future teams moving forward.
