The Flashof Supergirl actress Sasha Calle explains how her friendship with Batgirl actor Leslie Grace helped her come to terms with her brief stint in the DCEU. Sasha Calle played Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, trapped in the alternate universe in The Flashwhere Barry Allen meets her while trying to locate Superman. Calle’s Supergirl was a highlight of The Flashreceiving much praise for her acting, costumes and action scenes. However, the DCU reboot saw Sasha Calle’s Supergirl replaced by Milly Alcock’s, who will make her debut in the next DCU film. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrowscheduled for launch in 2026.

Talking to THR about your next film In summersSasha Calle discusses her departure from the role of Supergirl, calling the experience “bittersweet” and “heartbreaking”. Call thank you Batgirl Actress Leslie Grace for helping her with her heartache, as Grace also said goodbye to her DC role after Warner Bros. Batgirl. According to Calle, she and Grace now have a “beautiful friendship that is true, honest, sincere and kind.” Sasha Calle and Leslie Grace Read Calle’s full comments below:

“I don’t know what I would have done without Leslie, to be honest with you. I feel like she got even worse and yet she was just this divine light of love and care,” says Calle. “And even though it came from a very confusing and painful situation, we managed to have this beautiful friendship that is true, honest, sincere and kind. We were there for each other and I’m so glad we had each other back then.”
