The X-Men's Dazzler's Career has experienced many ups and downs, but now she may be the most important mutant on earth. Dazzler was initially created to be a multimedia character. Casablanca Records had huge success in the disco music era, and wanted to create a superhero to cash in on the crowd.
Dazzler #1 is written by Jason Loo and drawn by Rafael Loureiro. Dazzler is preparing for one of the biggest shows of her career. She reveals that she worked on a new album during her downtime on Krakow, and now it's topping the charts. Dazzler has enlisted Wind Dancer as her manager, and in a moment before the show, she informs Dazzler that her music is so popular that it brings humans and mutants together.

Dazzler was a key part of the Krakoan era
Since her first appearance in the 1980s X-Men #130, Dazzler has followed her own path in the Marvel Universe, one that takes her between the worlds of pop stardom and mutant action. Dazzler's ability to convert sound into light and energy allows her to create fantastic effects during her concerts, keeping fans enthralled. An on-again, off-again member of the X-Men, Dazzler would return to the team shortly before the fall of Krakoa. Elected to the team during the Hellfire Gala, Dazzler was tragically killed by Orchis invaders. While she returns, the trauma of her death remains.

After Krakoa fell, Earth's mutants were scattered across the globe. The Krakoan era saw mutants largely sequester themselves from the rest of Earth's population, adopting their own customs and language, as Dazzler notes. Human rage has reared its head, and unfortunately, even this one is not immune. Protesters appear on her show and start spreading lies about her online almost immediately. Yet Dazzler's fans, both human and mutant, were undeterred. The X-Men's Dazzler Victory rises at the end of the issue, and it is well deserved, as her popularity and likability make her the ideal person to bring humans and mutants together.
