Daisy Ridley hints at filming for her next Star Wars film in 2025

Daisy Ridley hinted that Star Wars: New Jedi Order It could be the start of a new series. The next Star Wars: New Jedi Orderwhich has no official title announced, is being written by Steven Knight and has Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy as director. It is set to feature the return of Ridley’s sequel trilogy character Rey, who debuted in 2015. The Force Awakens and has not appeared in the live-action franchise since 2019 The Rise of Skywalkerwhich is the most recent feature film in the series at the time of writing.
In a recent profile with The Hollywood ReporterDaisy Ridley spoke about her upcoming Star Wars project. She reflected on being “terrifying“to return to the role of Rey after more than five years, but said”It will be interesting to return to someone I know so well.” However, the most revealing part of his quote was describing the upcoming project as “the new/new.” That seemingly implies there could be more than just one movie in which Rey returns. I feel like the new/new one will be very interesting. Time has passed and a lot has changed for me personally, so it will be interesting to return to someone I know so well, but in such a different time. For me to inhabit Rey again after all the time we haven’t seen her, it’s really scary, but it’s also exciting.
