While season two doesn’t seem any closer to happening, the latest news has rock icon Stevie Nicks hosting it Daisy Jones and the Six idea for season 2. While praising the show for its powerful performances, the Fleetwood Mac alum discussed how she would continue the story. I wish it could be discussed and what if… Billy came back… and knocked on her door, and they decided to make that last record that I always hoped that Lindsey [Buckingham] and I would.

Since Daisy Jones and the Six fictionalizes the lives of Nick and his fellow Fleetwood Mac members, it makes sense that the show could continue asking more “what if?” questions.

Since Daisy Jones and the Six fictionalizes the lives of Nick and his fellow Fleetwood Mac members, it makes sense that the show could continue asking more “what if?” questions. Although the series found the limits of the book, enough liberties were taken to never rule out a second season. Even if it doesn’t fit with the historical record, it could write a better story after all.

I wish it could be discussed and what if… Billy had come back after Billy’s wife died and knocked on his door, and they decided to make that last record that I always hoped Lindsey and I would make. This would make a fantastic second season. I talked to [executive producer] Reese [Witherspoon] and Riley about it, and they love the idea, but everyone is so busy. Riley is on her way to becoming a big movie star. But maybe one of these days they will. Until I saw Daisy Jones and the Six I would never have thought it possible to imitate our life.

The first season exhausted its new source material

THE Daisy Jones and the Six the story of season 2 would be a completely new tale created by the producers. The first season was based on Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and was loosely based on the behind-the-scenes drama of the band Fleetwood Mac. However, the season covered almost all of the novel, meaning anything for a second season would have to be entirely new material. However, Prime Video faced the same problem with Good omensand continued with a new story, albeit one provided by one of its original authors, Neil Gaiman.

With that said, Daisy Jones and the Six ended with Daisy leaving her own band after their last show together in Chicago. Although the book showed Daisy and Billy’s wife, Camilia, asking Daisy to leave for her own happiness and to save Billy’s family, this did not happen in the series. Instead, Daisy left the band because she didn’t “I want to be broken” and entered rehab.

While the book ended with Daisy’s departure as a positive moment for her independence, the Prime Video series ended with her leaving to save herself. This opens Daisy Jones and the Six Season 2 as a chance for a reunion in the future if the show returns.
