Quentin Quire could easily be a candle that burned bright and burned. However, despite the danger he puts himself in both mentally and physically, he never fully succumbs to it. Instead, he was on a path of slow growth that would ultimately only help his power. While he’s still one of the most arrogant X-Men around, there’s introspection that certainly didn’t exist in his younger days. He knows his own weaknesses and uses them to inform his strengths and has sacrificed much for others, an unthinkable thought for the young child Tumega.
