Create-A-Sim mode in The Sims 4 would be better with this feature

After a decade The Sims 4 being EA’s main game in The Sims franchise, players gradually saw the game’s Create-A-Sim mode improves. When The Sims 4 Initially released in September 2014, players were excited about how much more advanced Create-A-Sim seemed to be compared to previous versions. With a more in-depth facial feature creator, new hairstyles with better texture movement, a wider selection of clothing, and more, Create-A-Sim in The Sims 4 added so many details that it would be possible to spend hours creating Sims alone.

Many content packs and expansions released for The Sims 4 have introduced all kinds of new add-ons for Create-A-Sim mode. From gothic clothes and hairstyles that weren’t seen in The Sims franchise before The Sims 4, to werewolf skin features, teeth, and more, the effort EA has put into Create-A-Sim mode is obvious. However, one general feature is still missing – eyelashes were barely included in The Sims 4.

The Sims 4’s Create-A-Sim mode needs more eyelashes

A recent addition is not enough

Traditionally, eyelashes in The Sims 4 are typically represented by a basic horizontal black line that protrudes slightly from the upper eyelid, which is not a realistic representation of eyelashes in real life. As they are currently in The Sims 4, eyelashes unfortunately add little depth to a Sim’s appearancefailing to meet players’ desire for realism from a Sim they created.

As The Sims is ultimately a life simulator game, the lack of suitable eyelashes has become an increasingly sore point over the years. The Sims 4 recent Love Struck expansion took the first major step toward correcting this problem, and a The Create-A-Sim update released alongside it finally added a new category for eyelashes. With only two options in the base game, however, it still feels woefully incomplete.

One downside to overall Sim customization

Over the past decade, mods for The Sims 4 have become a common solution for more realistic eyelashes. Many existing mods offer the ability to create highly detailed 3D eyelashes that allow for aesthetic creativity and the work of creators like Kijiko exhibit extensive customization for different styles with unique lengths and volumes. At a time when makeup is a thriving industry, No extensive makeup application can be complete without some type of enhanced lashes completing the look. Without more extensive options, the current makeup system that exists in the The Sims 4 ultimately it feels incomplete.

So far, players have been able to customize a Sim’s makeup in Create-A-Sim with almost every makeup category except eyelashes. Significantly expanding lash selection would bring more consistency with all the other levels of detail that have become available in the game over the last ten years. Now that EA has announced that The Sims 5 is not currently in development, continued focus on The Sims 4 we hope that adding more lashes will be a significant priority.
