2024 could be the year of film adaptation. While the year saw several ups and downs, adaptations appear to be at the center of the 2024 release calendar. While sequels to children's films such as Moana 2 and Inside Out 2 dominated the box office, as did adaptations like End with us and Evil. The original film The Crow is getting a streaming release date. Adapting the comic book series created by James O'Barr, the 1994 version of The Crow tells the story of Eric Draven and his fiance, who are brutally murdered on their wedding night. Later, Eric rises from the dead to take revenge on those who killed him and his love. This version of The Crow starred Brandon Lee in the lead role, among a supporting cast that included Michael Wincott, Bai Ling and Ernie Hudson. 2024 saw the launch of a reimagining of The Crowwhich was widely hated.
According to Collider1994 The Crow now it's coming to streaming. The Crow will arrive on Paramount+ tomorrow, January 1, 2025. Currently, the film can only be watched on Pluto TV and rented on Prime Video, so its availability on Paramount+ will make it more accessible. The 2024 version of The Crowon the other hand, it is only available to rent on Prime Video.
