Christopher Lloyd opens a DeLorean time capsule in a Back to the Future inspired video

Christopher Lloyd and Back to the future‘s iconic DeLorean car have reunited in a new video. Lloyd first played Dr. Emmett Brown, usually referred to as Doc Brown, in Back to the future. He Later reprized the role in Back to the Future Part II And Back to the Future Part III. While Doc Brown had many inventions, his most famous was the DeLorean car that served as a time machine Used by him and Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) when they traveled to the past and the future.

DeLorean Labs has now released A Back to the future-style video of Lloyd playing himself when he opens a DeLorean time capsule. Directed by filmmaker Alan Ungar, who previously directed the film BanditThe nostalgic video introduces the time capsule collection, as Lloyd has the item delivered to him by a mysterious individual emerging from a DeLorean. Lloyd is seen opening the time capsule in amazement, before proceeding to utter Doc Brown’s famous catchphrase. Read DeLorean Labs President Evan Kuhn’s comments below:

With the time capsule, we wanted to introduce something fun to our community that could celebrate DeLorean’s introduction to the digital age. Being DeLorean was about futurism and counterculture. It allows us to be creative and move in a way that other major car manufacturers cannot.
