Chicago Fire Season 13 Just Fixed Replacing Chief Boden in One Scene

Notice! Spoilers ahead for Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 6, ‘Birds of Prey.’Chief Wallace Boden’s replacement, Dom Pascal, has been a controversial character, but Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6, ‘Birds of Prey’ fixed it in just one scene. To say this losing Eammon Walker was big for One Chicago was an understatement. The actor was the first to be cast in Dick Wolf’s Windy City franchise and played the fearless leader of Firehouse 51 for over a decade. It doesn’t help that Boden Chicago Fire substitute, Dom Pascal did not make the best impression when introducing himself to the rest of the team.

Transferred from Miami after serving there for decades, Pascal is not new to Chicago. He started out as a firefighter in the Windy City, and that raises new questions about his history with the department. Not much has been revealed about his life outside of his time on Firehouse 51. Still, it’s clear that Pascal is very different from Boden in Chicago Fire Season 13, and this, understandably, created friction, especially with the likes of Kelly Severida and Stella Kidd, who were particularly close to their predecessor. After “Birds of Prey”, however, One Chicago rehabilitated its image.

Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6 juggles several storylines, including a unexpected partnership between Severide and Pascal. After the team responds to a suspected arson fire, the pair investigate what actually caused the incident. Unfortunately for them, the state troopers manning the scene are not only useless but also cautious, causing Severide to dig deeper. Having said that, Pascal, strangely enough, suddenly tells him to stay away, which causes a conflict between the two.

Initially, Chicago Fire season 13 made it seem like the new chief of Fire Station 51 is in cahoots with corrupt state cops. Committed to your work, Severide confronts Pascal about the matter and his sudden change in behavior. Although the head of Fire Station 51 seems irritated that his subordinate called him in, he surprisingly reveals his recent conversation with the leader of the soldiers, who recruited him for his illegal activities. Pascal agreed because he wanted them to think he was on their side. He figured it would be easier for them to solve the case this way.

Pascal gaining Severide’s trust helps him establish himself as a worthy replacement for Boden

Severide can attest to Pascal’s integrity

Amid the tension in the air during Severide and Pascal’s final scene in “Birds of Prey,” what gets lost in the shuffle is that she effectively fixes the new chief of Fire Station 51. Chicago Fire So far, he has made very little progress in establishing a relationship with his team – something that is very important in the tight-knit firehouse. Pascal is a capable leader, but that’s barely enough to lead a special group like Firehouse 51. As the de facto leader, Gaining Severide’s trust will make it easier for Pascal to change his rather divisive image.

Although he appears to be in cahoots with the soldiers, Pascal proves he is a man of integrity by not giving up on the case.

Furthermore, Pascal’s stance on the issue also puts him in a better position to win over his subordinates. As Severide clearly establishes, there is no room for corruption in Fire Station 51. Although he appears to be in cahoots with the soldiers, Pascal proves he is a man of integrity by not giving up on the case. It’s true that he could have told Severide what was going on, but he’s still trying to gauge whether he can fully trust the people around him. Pascal’s move could finally lead to a mutual understanding between him and Firehouse 51.

Chicago Fire still needs to reveal Pascal’s story

Pascal has a history in Miami and Chicago

Establishing that Pascal has integrity is a good step toward endearing him to Firehouse 51 (and the public). As Severide’s arson investigation continues, the character has more opportunities to prove he can take Boden’s vacated place in the Chicago Fire season 12 finale. That being said, his character development shouldn’t end there. Pascal’s past in Miami and Chicago is still shrouded in mysteryand it’s safe to say it’s only a matter of time before that happens in the show’s overall narrative. Fleshing out Pascal could help your cause advance.

Boden was on Firehouse 51 for 12 seasons of Chicago Fireand part of her time on the show involved developing her personal arc. It’s safe to say that the plan for Pascal is the same. It’s still too early to tell whether he’ll be as effective a leader as Boden was, but his arc in Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 6 is definitely a good start for that.
