Warning: Contains spoilers for Chainsaw Man chapter #177
Part two of Chainsaw Man has delivered on many of Part One’s promises, and now it seems like the promise of Power’s return is more likely than ever. Denji became a student, raised Nyuta to be his little sister, and had to live a normal life with her before everything was completely thrown into turmoil. Chainsaw Man Thinks how to do. Now, as the latest chapter #177, titled “Trigger Finger”, puts the devastating power of the War Devil on display, it seems that the most anticipated promise of part one may soon be fulfilled.
During fully armored Pochita’s last appearance in the series, while fighting Makima, the Chainsaw Devil resigned from the battle, deciding that saving Denji was more important than taking down the Control Devil. But he needed help, and It wasn’t until Power convinced Denji to live, sacrificing what little blood she had left to revive him, that Chainsaw Mans protagonist returned. Now, after sustaining considerable damage in the fight with Yoru, Pochita could once again ask for Power’s help.
Chainsaw Man goes to the Blood Drive
After sustaining damage, Pochita is asking for donations
Damaged, with one of his arms completely blown off by the War Devil’s new gun ability, Pochita flees the fight and finds a nearby blood drive. Although it can be inferred that the Chainsaw Man is kindly asking for blood in order to regain his strength before returning to the battle, In the past he was shown to regenerate without feeding on blood. It was against the same attack Yoru used that he regenerated from nothing but his heart during the fight with Makima, making a need for blood now Improbable.

instead, Chainsaw Man may be trying to find power againAs he did in part one. The last remaining plot thread to be resolved from the Public Safety arc is Denji’s promise to find the new Blood Devil and return her to power. It is entirely possible that Pochita was reminded of power when he was hit with the same “Bang” attack that killed the Blood Devil earlier. Although it is uncertain to what degree she would be useful in the current battle, she has stood up to a Horseman Devil in the past, and Pochita may be looking for a powerful ally after Yoru enlists the help of the Tank and Gun Devils.
The New Blood Devil will not be the same power
Although it seems there is no better time for Power to make her big return Chainsaw ManIt is uncertain what Pochita would need her for at this point. If Pochita is indeed making a desperate attempt to save Denji, there is little chance that his plan will work. Power has made it clear that not only will she be a different blood devil when she returns, But also that the newest version would likely be Denji’s enemy. And if she’s as unruly as her past self, convincing the new Blood Devil to assist in any way could be a major pain.
There is the possibility that Denji would voluntarily want to come back when he sees the new blood devil, remembering his promise and love for his original little sister. Regardless of what Pochita’s plan is, he may want to act on it quickly, as Yoru seems to now be charging a new, powerful attack courtesy of the United States. Even if power makes you big return in time for Chainsaw Man Finally, Denji is far from out of the woods.
