Cuaron is a famous director, he has directed films such as And your mom too (2001), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Human Children (2006), Gravity (2013) and Roma (2018). There was great anticipation then Disclaimerwhich marks his second time creating a TV show. The 77% score is certainly a positive start for the series, but it’s also a lukewarm result compared to the critical response to many of its films.

Borderland was a major flop and is currently considered one of the two biggest blockbuster flops of 2024, along with Joker: Folie à Deux. Despite DisclaimerEarly reviews could be described more as “solid” rather than “luminous,“ While the series has some flaws, it at least serves as an impressive showcase of Blanchett’s talents.
It remains to be seen how Disclaimer will please the public, but the critical reaction corresponds to that for Presumed innocentwhich became the biggest hit among viewers on Apple TV+. Even if Disclaimer does not reach the same heights in terms of popularity, this undoubtedly marks a victory for Blanchett after Borderland.
