THE yellow stone franchise continues to blossom into something much bigger with the announcement of a Beth and Rip spin-off which will take place after the events of the main series. Created by TV expert Taylor Sheridan, the series concerns the turbulent lives of the Dutton ranching family in Montana as they deal with multiple threats to their rapidly disappearing way of life. Perfectly capturing the neo-Western essence that typifies Sheridan's works, yellow stone impressed audiences and became one of the most popular shows of the 2020s.

Unfortunately, the flagship series (which debuted in 2018) faced a series of problems in the second half of its fifth season, including the high-profile departure of star Kevin Costner. Although all details are not yet known, the series will begin after the events of yellow stone season 5b, and will likely deal with the consequences that the massive ending brings. Since the show is about Rip and Beth, it stands to reason that it could bring back a handful of others yellow stone favorites, but nothing has been confirmed outside of the main pair.

Beth and Rip's newly revealed spin-off is hardly the first offshoot of yellow stoneand the franchise expanded for the first time with the release of 1883, which explored the Dutton family's first foray into the West in the 19th century.
