Wheezer was a recurring character for the last two seasons
According to the Deadline Press release, Aaron Ashmore, who plays Wheezer, was promoted to series regular for Sky Med season 3. Previously, Wheezer was just a recurring character. Captain William “Wheezer” Heaseman is an experienced pilot and a “father” of sorts to the operation, giving advice and preparing dinner whenever the crew is hungry.
