A few months after the start of the second season, the latest news confirms that filming has finished in My Life with the Walter Boys season 2. Netflix’s hit teen drama finished its main photography phase in November 2024 and cast a pretty wide net by announcing that the show will return sometime in 2025. Series creator Melanie Halsall praised the success of Season 1 while praising the launch of Season 2, saying:
We have huge scenarios in each episode and the stories are more complex. We meet our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I came back, I was excited to start filming again because I knew we had some great stories to tell.

Just weeks after the show’s first season concluded, Netflix officially renewed My Life with the Walter Boys for a second season. Finally, filming ended in November 2024, and Netflix has set a release window for 2025.

Why My Life with the Walter Boys deviated from the book, the possibilities for season 2’s story are much broader. The first season ended on a cliffhanger with Jackie choosing neither brother and catching a plane back to New York with her uncle Richard. Season 2 could explore her life as she tries to leave the Walter family behindor he could invent some reason for her to return to the ranch.
