Diplomat Season 3 Story Details
President Penn means big trouble for Kate
As if Season 2 was trying to top Season 1’s shocking conclusion, the Season 2 finale sets the stage for a truly compelling third season. After reaching the bottom of the bombardment, Kate is shocked to discover that disgraced Vice President Grace Penn ordered the attack for strategic reasons.. With this (literally) explosive news, Kate seeks the vice presidency, although many are unsure if she is ready for the role.
Using the influence she has thanks to her husband, Hal, Kate finally manages to expose Grace’s plan to the president, although it does not have the intended consequences. With President Rayburn now dead, Penn becomes president, and she’s obviously going to fight with Kate since she knows the ambassador is after her. How does this affect the plot of The Diplomat season three remains unknown, but the tension will likely be higher than ever.
