Below Deck Mediterranean the star Captain Sandy Yawn is an icon, But that doesn’t mean it’s not time for her to gracefully exit the popular boating franchise. Yes, Sandy has some appeal, but her problems are extreme and watching her do her job is often incredibly frustrating. Furthermore, her feuds with other people make her seem like a troublemaker, whether that is true or not.
No one is saying that Captain Sandy isn’t good at what she does – it’s just that her signature management style will almost certainly irritate her subordinates. However, Captain Sandy reigns supreme in what is still, in many ways, a man’s world. By controlling huge “white boats,” Sandy shows the world that women can do it too… and do it well.
In that sense, she broke the glass ceiling. It is not easy to operate one of these large vessels. In fact, it requires a lot of education and experience. Just watch even the most experienced captain cautiously “parks” a yacht to see how difficult it is. Yes, even the best captains must be very careful. That being said, Sandy went too far with her micromanagement and feuds. She needs to let people be alone once in a while.
Captain Sandy’s recent “cabin attack” was exaggerated
She caught them unconscious
Sandy used his invasive management style to great comedic effect node Bravo in the YouTube clip shown above, performing an annoying surprise inspection. However, a yacht is not a military base. This means she doesn’t have to do everything All-metal jacket Sergeant Schtick to put the fear of God into his hapless crew. Sure, it’s easy to laugh when she rates someone a “0,” but really, this is just a small piece of the mosaic that is Sandy’s micromanagement style.
Captain Sandy didn’t let Hannah Ferrier have any fun
Who cares about maritime law? (I am joking)
Hannah was a huge diva who made the show watchable, so what did Captain Sandy do? She killed the goose that laid the golden eggs, taking away the most charismatic Chief Stew of all time. Even Kate Chastain, with her icy disdain and unpredictability, can’t compete with Ferrier’s epic grandeur. Hannah loves herself and will do whatever she wants, unless it’s your favorite relaxation techniques.
Captain Sandy nailed her to the wall for bringing a vape pen and medication on board without revealing the items.
Of course, it’s against Maritime Law and that’s very serious, but this is reality TV. Viewers want to see rule breakers and rebels. They don’t want to see “good” people doing their jobs well. By firing the queen of the franchise, Captain Sandy paved the way for so much boring TV. What the hell was she thinking?
This was the time for a gentle tap on the wrist or a little “talk.” This was no time to take away this stunning blonde’s powers.
After Hannah left, some Below Deck Mediterranean viewers probably gave up too. It’s just not the same without her flirting with charter guests, looking down on others, and showing off her swan-like grace in a floating party palace. Who doesn’t miss Hannah’s delicious swagger? His steely confidence was inspiring, especially when compared to some truly weak franchise stars, including Below Deck MidChef Ben Robinson, whose “silver spoon” antics have never had such a funny twist.
Captain Sandy must change or go
Your tactics are outdated
Captain Sandy need to relax. Above on Instagram, she’s talking about what’s allowed at sea – what a killjoy (again, I’m just kidding)! Sandy, you must take care of them and let them do their work. If they are horrible, intervene. If they are hardworking and talented, praise them or just let them do their own thing. By micromanaging a storm and unleashing the fiery beauty that is Below Deck MediterraneanHannah Ferrier, Captain Sandy deserves cancellation.
