What happens at the end of the Black Ops 6 campaign?

Plot twists and character revelations abound

Black Ops 6The film’s many narrative threads center on Pantheon, a shadowy global organization that is infiltrating the CIA and developing a new biological weapon called Cradle. The cast of main characters, including Woods, CIA handler Jane Harrow, Troy Marshall, and player character Case, are trying to unravel the mystery of who Pantheon is and what this biological weapon is. There is also a mole planted within the CIA by Pantheon, feeding them information and giving them access to federal facilities and resources; it is eventually revealed that this is Harrow herself.

It is also revealed that Case gets his name from being Cradle’s “Case Study 1” – patient zero. He was given the Cradle experimentally by the original version of Pantheon – an official division of the CIA focused on creating performance enhancers for American agents (led by CIA Deputy Director Daniel Livinstone). Then It turns out that not only is Harrow the CIA spy, but that Livingstone knows everything about Pantheon and Cradle despite pretending not to. – he lied to the team’s faces this whole time.

Pantheon eventually steals all of Cradle’s remaining samples and brings them back to Vorkuta (yes, what Vorkuta Mason and Reznov escape from Black Ops 1). The location is now a Cradle warehouse overseen by Harrow, and is eventually raided by the player with Harrow being captured. She is then given a dose of truth serum and reveals that a Cradle attack has been planned on the US Capitol in Washington DC, which will be blamed on Livingstone.

This is the final step in Pantheon’s infiltration of the CIA, as Harrow would replace Livingstone as deputy director after Livingstone was forced to resign. This would mean complete control over the CIA for Pantheon. In the midst of this interrogation, Pantheon attacks the team’s hideout and rescues Harrow.escaping by helicopter with Case managing to climb aboard as well.

A sample of Cradle is accidentally released and Case inhales it, becoming extremely aggressive and losing control of himself. He strangles Harrow as the helicopter sinks into a river after a crash, with the screen going black before we find out if any of them survive. The game ends with a final cutscene set two weeks later, with neither Case nor Harrow present..

Woods, Marshall and Adler meet with Livingstone, who reveals that he helped them with their behind-the-scenes investigation. the entire game. Livingstone tells them that Pantheon is far from being eradicated, with many Pantheon agents still acting as CIA agents. Livingstone turns the 3 agents into a new team designed specifically to work behind the scenes to destroy the Pantheon and rid the CIA of it.

However, a twist occurs at the end; After this conversation, we see a mysterious unnamed man breaking into Livingstone’s office and hacking into his computer.clearly involved in some way with Pantheon. Then the credits roll.

What the ending means for the next Black Ops game

The ending of Black Ops 6 still has a lot of questions

Russell Adler in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with a desert landscape and burning wreckage behind him.

There are a few threads here that were left hanging, namely the identity of the mysterious hacker in the final scene. There has already been speculation online about who he is – Black Ops 1Alex Mason and the player character Case himself have been put forward as popular theories. There and a possibility that Case became a Pantheon agentseeing as he was last seen under Cradle’s influence in a helicopter with the handler Harrow. He seemed in perfect condition to be captured and brainwashed.

There are many other unanswered questions in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These are all narrative threads that will no doubt be continued and expanded in the next Black Ops game.

This leads to a second question – what happened to Case and Harrow? Are they dead? Did Case kill Harrow and escape? This storyline will almost certainly return in a sequel, with plenty of room for Case and Harrow to return. The case could become regular in Black Ops cast of friendly (masked) faces, or he could become the antagonist of the next game. Either way, it’s a sure bet that the next Black Ops will be dealing with the Pantheon still being planted within the CIAjudging by the final scene.

There are many other unanswered questions in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. For example, who was sent to murder Harrow’s parents when she was a child? Was it Adler? Why did Livingstone lie about the origin of the Pantheon? And can he really be trusted? There are also questions about Cradle: Who is the voice that Case heard in his head while under the influence of the bioweapon? And what connection does Cradle have to Zombie lore? These are all narrative threads that will no doubt be continued and expanded in the next Black Ops game.
