The AK47 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 It’s great in the right hands. This is what most players consider a reliable weapon throughout the series. It is widely considered one of the best assault rifles in the game, capable of decimating enemies with its high damage. The only problem is that it is terrible at long range and the recoil is very bad. However, with the right equipment, the AK47 comes closer to overcoming these problems.
Even with the new perks, you’ll typically want to use an AK47 in close to medium-range fights. This is typically where most of the fights in closed areas take place, so it’s a great choice overall. Although the best AK47 loadouts help control recoil, it is better to learn how to deal with weapons recoil rather than relying on a loadout. However, the right accessories make it much easier to take out enemies and Black Ops 6zombies mode.
Best Attachments for AK74
The right charging is essential
The AK47 requires a specific accessory configuration in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to fully unleash your potential. The thing to remember about the AK47 is that it is known for its reliability relative to its power. There are more powerful primary weapons, but the AK47 will be the right choice if you are great at landing headshots. Keep in mind that recoil tends to be more difficult to control, but with the right equipment, you can largely nullify this.
Slot |
Equipment |
What does it do |
---|---|---|
Barrel |
Long Barrel |
This increases the damage range. |
Muzzle |
Suppressor |
This keeps you off enemy radar, making you harder to detect. |
Underbarrel |
Vertical tightening |
This attachment drastically reduces horizontal recoil, making it the most important attachment. |
Magazine |
Extended Mag I |
The extra ammo capacity makes up for the slight penalty in reload speed. |
Rear Grip |
Quick Drawing Handle |
This speeds up ADS (aim down) time, which is essential for a weapon like the AK47, which can feel slow. |
The table above has attachments that neutralize the AK47’s drawbacks, such as recoil and slow ADS, while also increasing its damage over long distances. You won’t take the AK47 for longer shots without this equipment. The combination of attachments shown in the table above gives the AK74 the necessary balance between damage, range, control and speed, turning it into a much more reliable weapon for use in different situations.
Best Perks for AK74
You also need the right perks
The right perks for an AK47 should revolve around fighting multiple enemies at once and maintaining control in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The AK47 is made for direct combat, so you’ll want perks that remove targets from your back while showing you where enemies are.
Some perks make you a complete ghost to the enemy, and that’s what’s important to focus on. You’re almost unstoppable if you can be a ghost with an AK47.
- Advantage 1: Cold-Blooded (Makes you invisible to AI targeting and thermal optics. Enemy-controlled Scorestreaks will not highlight you. You are also immune to Spy Cams.)
- Advantage 2: Forward Intel (Enlarges your minimap and displays arrows pointing to the location of revealed enemies.)
- Advantage 3: Ghost (makes you invisible to enemy radar, UAVs and Scorestreaks when moving, planting, disarming or controlling Scorestreaks. You are also immune to Prox alarm.)
- Advantage 4: Recon (You can see enemies through walls briefly after they respawn. A blinking indicator on your HUD alerts you to enemies outside of your direct vision. You do not leave behind deadly skulls after killing enemies.)
Ghost, Forward Intel, Cold-Blooded, and Recon are perfect for maximizing the effectiveness of the AK74 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These perks offer a combination of stealth, awareness, and survivability that most players need to survive in the field of battle.
Feel free to mix and match, but keep the Forward Intel because the AK47 was made for direct conflict and this will keep an arrow on the enemies you’ve already seen. The rest can be exchanged for your preferred perks, but we recommend this loadout for the Nuketown map in Black Ops 6.
The best perks work with your playstyle, so if you want to swap them out it should be based on how you fight.
Best equipment for AK74
When all else fails, put your hand in your pocket
THE Stim Shot and Sticky Grenade are the best items for building the AK74 Call of Duty: Black Ops 6as seen in RunYouTube video below. Using an AK47 means you’ll be in gunfights quite often. Therefore, it would be best if you had a way to make enemies leave or catch them while they are in cover. You’ll also need a healing item to restore your health when finishing a fight or retreating from one. Check out Rush’s video below on how to use this equipment.
Using your Stim Shot is not a good idea if you are not sure you will win the firefight. This is more of a second chance type of item where you can either heal yourself and escape or heal yourself and get in the last shots. It’s very tempting to waste your sticky grenades, and that’s what they were made for. Sticky grenades are very useful in combat and you shouldn’t need to try to hold them; use them as needed in WAll Duty: Black Ops 6.
