It's safe to say that Bronson Reed has officially established itself as the cruelest monster in the world. WWE list. After spending more than a decade in the independent market, Bronson Reed signed with NXT, WWE's developmental brand. Even after a brief one-year release, Reed was building a steady rise to the top for himself. Then the company suddenly began astronomically elevating it to the main event scene in more recent months.
One of the reasons behind Reed's newfound popularity is his finishing move, the Tsunami, which sees him drop all 330 pounds on his opponents from the top rope. A series of devastating tsunamis that put Seth Rollins out of action is what really put Reed on the main roster map, and from that point on, the Australian monster has been a presence that can't be ignored on Monday Night Raw.
While this isn't the first time a wrestler's finishing move has contributed to a rise in popularity, WWE has done a great job of packaging Bronson Reed in the right way. Still, seeing him fly off the top rope to crush an opponent is a sight to behold, and some tsunamis resonated louder than others.

Bronson Reed Tsunami in Roman Reigns
WWE Friday Night SmackDown November 15, 2024
On a Friday Night SmackDown, wrestling's longest-running storyline reached its biggest development at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. The OG Bloodline has still just reunited with its honorary Uce Sami Zayn, but still needs a fifth man to match. Solo Sikoa's Bloodline won't have to worry about that issue, as his fifth man, Bronson Reed, emerged during the Bloodline vs. Solo brawl. He made an emphatic statement by delivering a soul-crushing tsunami to Roman Reigns.
If his Tsunamis series for Seth Rollins was a career high for Reed, his Tsunami to Roman Reigns could be considered career-defining. Bronson left a nine-time WrestleMania main event wrestler gasping for air. Roman selling like he's coughing his lungs out from that splash is what takes this house like a star-studded performance from Reed.

WWE main roster debut, Tsunami for Dexter Lumis to help The Miz
WWE Monday Night Raw December 19, 2022
In 2021, Bronson Reed was one of several NXT talents released from WWE. He spent a year wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA Impact Wrestling, but when Vince McMahon reached the lowest point of his career, it would become a saving grace for Reed. When Vince first left the company, Triple H would quickly begin re-signing many of the previously released NXT Superstars, including Reed, who eventually reached the main roster by helping The Miz win a Ladder Match against Dexter Lumis.
Not every Tsunami can be memorable for being in a moment of anarchy, but here, the impact comes from its deeper meaning in shaping the beginning of your career. It's Reed's shocking return to WWE, immediately putting him in a prominent position as Miz's hired gun. Those unfamiliar with his work in NXT may still marvel at the sight of this mastodon soaring through the air.

Tsunami on Dolph Ziggler in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
WWE Monday Night Raw January 30, 2023
In 2023, WWE was preparing for its 13th annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, emanating live from Montreal, Quebec, Canada's Bell Centre. The actual PPV match on the card was scheduled to see Austin Theory defend his United States Championship against five other competitors, which were decided in qualifying matches. For Bronson Reed, he faced former World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler.
While not his first match on the main roster, this would be the biggest win of Reed's growing WWE career. It was also an early sign that WWE was ready for a slow push that would bring an ultimate payoff. Although Ziggler has become almost an improved talent at this stage of his career, he is still a former world champion who was once insanely dominated by the crowds. A win over Dolph with a definitive Tsunami was important as Reed built his in-ring resume.

Tsunami in Otis
WWE Monday Night Raw September 25, 2023
If their Last Monster Standing match was indicative of anything, it was that Bronson Reed was becoming a marquee attraction. Just like classical great men before him, like Andre the Giant, Bronson's size and aura were enough to be a selling point in and of themselves. Pitting him against Braun Strowman showed what a huge selling point he could be, creating a can't-miss matchup, especially with an equally big opponent - but it wouldn't be the first time.
The "big" Bronson Reed versus the big man Otis seemed equally unmissable. To loosely quote Big E, who doesn't like big, meaty men beating their meat? A 330-pound man falling on another 330-pound man would always capture the intrigue of crowds around the world. This is the first time that WWE has truly promoted a match with Reed as a special attraction. It's worth seeing and worth buying a ticket at any arena.

Tsunami on Sami Zayn on the way to WrestleMania 40
WWE Monday Night Raw March 25, 2024
Although he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the homecoming episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 40, Bronson Reed didn't actually wrestle on the show. In truth, he has not yet competed in any Mania shows. However, he had a significant spotlight on him on the way to WrestleMania 40. As Sami Zayn prepared to fight Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the Show of Shows, he fell to Bronson Reed thanks to a jaw-dropping tsunami.
Despite not having wrestled at Mania, Reed defeated a WrestleMania main event wrestler and added something to a major title match, casting doubt on history as to whether Zayn was capable of defeating Gunther. He was able to help progress a story he wasn't actively participating in while also raising your own star power.

Tsunami will win the NXT North American Championship
NXT May 21, 2021
WWE's main roster painted Bronson Reed as the meanest, meanest guy in the country, but he was more of a gentle giant in NXT when he played a babyface. He made it clear that his main mission was to become NXT North American Champion, pitting him against then-champion Johnny Gargano (who, similarly, was strangely a heel at the time). Bronson's quest for gold would take him into the unforgiving steel cage with Gargano's championship on the line.
Up to that point in his WWE career This would be the most important tsunami Reed would ever cause. His Tsunamis have increased in scale and risk since then, but this was the Tsunami that earned him his first championship under the WWE banner. Considering the momentum he carries now, it probably won't be his last.

Tsunami on Seth Rollins via the announce table
WWE Monday Night Raw November 4, 2024
The main event of Monday Night Raw was a Fatal Four Way match to decide the number one contender to Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship. This match featured "Dirty" Dom Mysterio, Damian Priest, Sheamus and Seth "Freakin" Rollins. Unfortunately for Rollins, he was already involved in a heated rivalry with Bronson Reed, who was eager to cost Rollins the fight, and even more eager to put him through the table.
It was always going to be hard to top Bronson Reed's Tsunami run over Seth Rollins after SummerSlam, and it still is, but this comes pretty close. Reed totally crushes Rollins underneath him. A nearly 400-pound wrestler throwing another man between himself and a sturdy announce table is a nasty landing, but also an entertaining spectacle for pro wrestling's most bloodthirsty fans.

Five Tsunamis in R-Truth
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 12, 2024
Speaking about Tsunami's original attack on Seth Rollins, the following week, Bronson Reed turned his attention to R-Truth. Or, more accurately, R-Truth showed up moments after Reed defeated The Miz in singles competition. Reed climbs to the top, ready for a post-match attack on Mizanin, until his tag team partner pulls him out of harm's way. For his efforts, the other half of Awesome Truth is hit by a cross from Reed, followed by five Tsunami splashes.
Seeing Reed do this to two WWE Superstars in consecutive weeks made it clear that the unrelenting anger seen in Bronson the week before was not going to stop anytime soon. It also became clear that the monstrous push (no pun intended) for Reed was more than just a one-off and was continuing. Additionally, Reed added another former world champion (Truth won the NWA title in TNA) to his impressive and growing list of victims.

Six Tsunamis on Seth Rollins
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 5, 2025
This is the moment that started it all for Bronson Reed. At this point, although Bronson Reed has displayed some impressive feats, he hasn't been used much on WWE television other than in a random mid-card rivalry or a random match between big men. His momentum allowed him to look strong, but even so it was a slow build to the top. WWE finally opted to reignite the fuse on its rocket two days after the 37th annual SummerSlam PLE. Seth Rollins, fresh from his special appearance on CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, addressed the crowd as usual, only to be suddenly targeted by Bronson Reed.
The Reed character attacked the five-time world champion to warn the WWE Universe, and the message was received loud and clear. The barrage of Tsunamis was shocking enough, but each Tsunami seemed to hit harder than the last.. It was a surefire way to surpass Tsunami as one of WWE's most powerful finishers, especially since it placed Rollins on the injured list for two months.

Bronson Reed tsunami hits Braun Strowman on top of a car
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 26, 2024
Bronson Reed continued to unleash an absolute war on the Raw roster with no end in sight, until he was forced to start picking on someone his own size: another former world champion, Braun Strowman. The two spent weeks attacking each other in fights where they threw objects and even people at each other. Their most chaotic fight takes place tonight, entering the parking lot where Reed would unleash a glass-destroying tsunami onto a car.
This is the only Tsunami that managed to be even more devastating than what he did to Rollinseliminating both men at once. The moment managed to make Reed and his finisher look like a million bucks while also providing a wild, viral moment. It's moments like this that helped solidify Bronson Reed in overcoming Braun's role as WWE Resident monster among men.
